A while back on the other place I mentioned in one of the daily threads that if anyone had a swayback pad they wanted to sell I was in the market!! Luckily for me Durango (Durangogramma) wrote me and said she did indeed have one for sale!!! It's in great condition and was a great deal and it fits wonderfully!!!! I promised I'd post pics when I got a chance and today I actually saddled her up with the new pad and I love it!! I didn't get to ride but it seems to fix all the problems we were having!!!
So for Durango, thank you bunches!!! Here's my girl in her new snazzy pad!!

I even like the color!! I've not had a blanket with a pattern in YEARS!! Always black or grey!! So this is kinda fun!!
And of course I had to post the pics of the REASON Sterling was saddled tonight. My little sister came over to ride and of course Sterling is the main kids horse I have. It was kinda neat. My Dad came with my little sister (who is 8) and he hasn't seen Sterling really in years. My Dad was the one who bought me my first horse but he's not had very much to do with me and my horses since then (child of divorce) and tonight he said a lot of great things about how special Sterling is. He said he's never met a horse like her in all his years. (she was just being her typical self, following me without me touching her and coming when I told her to, plus standing calmly while the kids walked around her everywhere) He said he never had a horse like Sterling and it was lucky that I ended up with her, and then he said something about how she was probably that way because of my training. It was nice to hear. My Dad and I have had our issues. (or rather I've had my issues, and he's lived his life not caring. . ) But deep down we always want approval I guess. Anyways, on top of that he said Sonora (Sterling's daughter) is the most perfect horse he's ever seen. Which meant a lot because he has horse experiance and he was around some high dollar cutting horses in his life. So of course I was beaming a bit.
Anyways, back to the pictures!!

My Dad's holding Sterling (even though I told him he didn't have to really) and Emma and Wyatt are up. Wyatt is 5 years younger than Aunt Emma and he thinks she hung the moon! (I'm 21 years older than her!)
And I couldn't pick between these two so I decided to post them both. . .Color and Black and White!!!

Emma takes after me. She loves all the animals but she really doesn't get to be around them much. That's another story entirely!!!
Oh and one more!!! I found a photo tonight and decided to scan it in! This is me and Sterling when I first got her!! I was 15 years old! I think that is about the only time my Dad ever really looked at Sterling (even though she stayed on his property for the first year I owned her).

I love the long mane on her! Lol. That was back before went off to college and learned that it's good to trim that up!
Anyways! Thanks for letting me ramble!!
