Calculus/Math Tutor

My daughter is in desperate need of a Calculus tutor. We have been looking on the internet but there are none near us. We may have to go as far as Chapel Hill to find one.:huh:

She is working really hard but says she just does not get the way her teacher explains things.

Anyone here really good at Math/Calculus that could work with her or suggest an online site that might have tutors?

I appreciate any help you can offer........she is getting really stressed out over this class.:puke:

I've taken all those classes... I'll PM you my email address and see if I can answer any questions. I'm out of town this weekend, but I'll check my email. I just won't have access to any of my books but if she lets me know her questions or where she's stuck I'll see what i can do.

I was a calculus tutor in college, I wish I was closer! I'll be happy to try to help online, but in person is better.

How close are you to NCSU, UNC, or Duke? I tutored in college for extra cash, there are always college kids looking to do this. Call/e-mail the Math department at those places and ask. Our deans office had a list of all the student tutors and what subjects the did.

Thanks..........we are about 45 minutes from Duke and UNC-CH and an hour from NCSU. I told her we might need to go to Durham or Chapel Hill to find someone.

I think I will contact the Math dept at Averett, that is right up in Danville and much closer. Great idea..............
