This is sick and disgusting. There is a picture of incredibly skinny horses on the link.

After the verdict, the RSPCA revealed that Jenkins, who now lives in Cadiz, Spain, was under investigation in that country after "at least" 16 horses were found dead on her land in Medina Sidonia.

Under investigation???? 16 horses??? How can they let 16 horses DIE and not do anything??? She should be thrown in jail for life for that! If she had 16 children and let them starve to death people would go insane! It should be the same or at least close!

District Judge David Parsons said that while he had no doubt that Jenkins had a "passion for horses" she was "overwhelmed" by the task of running such a large stables.

Overwhelmed is no excuse! She deserves to pay for that.

Its incredible how messed up the judicial systems are when it comes to animal related things, whether it be abuse, cruelty, etc.

We had a dog here in Colorado that got a ton of attention because he got loose from his house, and nipped at a lady who started screaming at him when he was running down the street. He didn't break the skin or even leave a bruise, but was ordered to be euthanized. Luckily 6 months of fighting by the owner got him freed.

Then on the other hand there was a lady who was running a "rescue" who had many emaciated and starving horses on her property that were proven to be neglected and uncared for. She got a slap on the wrist.

Things just don't seem fair when it comes to animal laws. This case you posted is just disgusting. The person deserves so much worse. I don't know who to be more disgusted in, the woman who did this or the judicial system that failed to adequately punish her.
