That was a very well-done video - go Grace!

Out of curiosity, what discipline did you learn to do wraps for? I vaguely remember waaaay back when I was jumping that the way I learned was probably the same as what you were doing.

At the place I played actual polo (the sport) I was re-taught somewhat differently - I assume that is mainly the discipline, though. Something to do with pull the tag end from the top down over the back of the tendon and pulling the wrap tight (on the bone, of course, not the tendon). It's been so long since I've wrapped I should go play around and remember stuff! :)

Love it!! I really loved how you emphasized the little V on the bottom because that really helps in getting the ankle bulb wrapped right. 42many...yeah there are a few ways to do it right as long as you follow the main rules. Like I start my wraps about mid cannon bone (instead of the top), go down then back up and end right under the knee.

42-I was primaryly jumpers until a few years ago when I switched to primarly dressage. I learned from a vet in VT, was sent to a class by a friend when I bought my first pair of medicine boots and I also learned ALOT about various wraps, like spirder wraps from Jetlagaside.
My old Tb had leg issues and I never rode him for more then 10mins without polos on. WHen I had my stb Joey, I switched to Saratoga Wraps, used on racehorses, because they actually give some support if wrapped correctly to horses. I sent $50 on a set of Saratoga's and I'd buy more if I could.

I am going to do a standing wrap video soon. I can also do Saratoga wraps and a sprider wrap video.(for knee injuries)

I'm glad you all like the video.
:D

This is just what I needed!!:) Great job on the video, explanation and making sure we know not to wrap tight and to be carefull not to pull the tendon out of alighnment. Great job!! Your a natural on camera!! Grace did a perfect job of not moving that leg and the dog in the back ground has a LONG tail!! lol Thankx so much. I am going to have to practice this on Muffin.

Please make some more videos!! :) I would love to know how to wrap the knee and how to do standing wraps. Thankx again for taking the time to make this video. It helps so much :)

They have a great article in EQUUS this month about Hock wrapping, you should do a video of that too! :)
