Where is everyone? Hah! According to my computer clock, it is officially 12:18 in the AM MST.

I don't think I've ever started a morning thread before, so I thought I'd best give it a whirl this one time:)

I've been up doing tax/business paperwork all night, but I decided on a few minutes of playtime here before I shoot off to bed. Here's hoping Friday will NOT be full of vomit like Wed was (4yo got the stomach ickies - Thurs he was doing better, but now the 2yo might have it...).

So, pocosoda and midnight popcorn for everyone, on me! :p

hello there! I still have a little over 30 minutes into Friday.. I need to get to bed.. did 9 hours of homework yesterday and almost 8 hours today. Im beat and barely functioning. But at least tommorows friday!

ill post again in the morning :) ive pretty much built it into my morning ritual now

Good morning! Busy busy night here for me! Sent one horse in for colic surgery, she came out around 1am... doing just beautifully! Got another colic gonna be here in a few minutes... probably going to surgery too! Why do they all wait for the nasty rainy stormy night to colic?

Tim's mom was nice enough to send me with an extra to go plate from dinner so I just had me a nice beef stew and black eyed peas pick me up! Glass of sweet tea and I'm ready to go!!! And my student just gave me gummie bears, so I'm set!!

I'm headed home to b'ham this afternoon, pray the rain stops before I have to make that drive! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and I'll see you guys next week!!!

Why do they all wait for the nasty rainy stormy night to colic?

My vet always swore it was changes in barometric pressure causing it. That's the only excuse we could ever come up with for the time one of my boys colicked, and he said that same night they had at least 6 others for no other obvious reason than the change in weather. Weird, huh? Something to do with changing gut pressure, organs moving around, something like that... :)

Maybe it's just because they know how much we hate mucking around on a cold, stormy night out in the barnyard!

Pass some of those gummie bears over, pretty please???? My kids always eat them all :( :D

haha... there has to be some kind of link because both of these horses came from the same show ground over at Poplar Place! Both became colicy after their afternoon exercise sessions! Really weird... we kind of attribute it to some dehydration, it's cool so their not drinking as much, but still getting work hard and sweating!
Who knows... these creatures look for any reason to hurt themselves!

Sending gummie bears... if there are any left! hahaha!!!

Fridays are always the best days ever. I am cleaning poop out of pastures today, yay! :clap: So not, lol. Oh well, it has to be done. I didn't get much sleep last night, went to bed at 3AM and got up at 7AM. Thanks insomnia, you're pretty sweet. :rolleyes: Anyways, I did most of my homework so the entire day is dedicated to my ponies, lol. I don't care how cold it is. Guess what, though? We are getting snow showers on Tuesday! Woot woot! Take care everyone and have a great day!

I have come to hate when the weather changes now that I have horses.
Cloudy, dark morning here. Not as cold as yesterday morning. Rain expected for most of today but at least it is expected to be in the 60's. Daughter has a CT show tomorrow. She is already worried it is going to rainy and COLD! The rain she can deal with but the cold is another matter. Forcast says it will be rainy early, then cloudy and a chance of rain later but in the 60's so hopefully the rain will clear up by time she rides. Luckily it is a local show so we will be close to home/barn. She said Rum is doing really well, she was able to canter him through a whole jumping course yesterday, this is a major breakthrough for them!

Got a whopper of a phone bill, hubby is really stressing. Please send good vibes..............with Kabota's vet bills we are running past tight, robbing Peter to pay Paul this month.

Just coffee so far this morning, my coffee maker is on the fritz, had to manually pour hot water through the grounds. Hubby called and said the dryer isn't working, it has been making a squeaky noise. Guess it finally went out. Great, when it rains it pours..............think I am going to head over to LOLCats and get a pick meup. I am starting to feel really bummed.

Had to go into work, and I wasn't even in the door yet & we were getting toned out for a call. :mad: Hope this ain't a precurser for the rest of the day. Feeling crappy today ~ stuffy/runny nose whatever it decideds to do at the moment. Going to go get my netti pot once pharmacy opens up!

Western omlets for everyone who wants them!! With Wheat toast & grits!! YUM.

O yeah and of course coffee with pumpkin creamer or cameral apple!!

P.s. My puppy is doing much better this am. Nose still lil gross looking but he's in better spirits! Milk bones fix anything!

Kids are wound today as it is supposed to be almost 60. I am hoping to take Jakey for a trailride today and relax. Jonathan's anti-b's are making his stomach upset so getting him to take them is a chore.

Morning, Rain here today. It's foggy and cool. I have a heavy work schedule all weekend but will try to make a high school football playoff game Saturday night. I can't wait for December when I can have some days off again.

Nothing exciting here. IT's raining outside and is supposed to stay around all day. After yesterdays episodes, I'm hoping for a nice calm day today. I think I might take the kids over to my sister in laws to see the new baby so that will be fun!

I have a lesson scheduled for this afternoon after not taking one for a couple of months now that should be interesting. We had a hard frost last night but it's suposed to warm to about 60 so I can deal with that.

Bay has a checkup this afternoon with the vet. Needs his teeth and sheath done, but he also has a few symptoms I want to ask about. Not till 3:00, hopefully it'll be a little warmer out there, it's shivery this morning. :)

It is a rainy cold day here. It was hard to get up to get the horses out this morning. As you all know, both of our horses are white...Well, they looked like perfect brown/black and white Paints this morining. LOL

It was raining so hard, I just left them be....I fed them and then came back home to bed. Not feeling well today. I think I will go get a Neti Pot Too!!!

42many and AUE...Both times Buck colicked was the night of a big storm!!! I worry now everytime that kind of storm rolls through!

AUe..I had black eyed peas last night also......mmmmmmmm AND I hope the rain stops only on your drive home to b'ham. lol We want it to keep raining. We almost have NO pond left. The fish are all going to get up and walk if this rain doesn't fill it up some! lol

rums...hope your daughter has a good show tomorrow. Maybe the rain and cold will hold out a bit longer for you guys.

Morning everyone! Hope everyone's day turns out okay- from what I'm reading, a lot of you are having hectic ones!

Not much going on here- just cloudy, rainy and cold. My internet was on the fritz yesterday, I finally figured out how to fix it this morning, lol, so I'm up running full staff on here again!

For those of you who are having a great day, I hope it will continue. For those who's day's not so hot, I hope it improves as the day goes on.

She has picture day today so, have to do the curls and............................
Then I'm off to the stable to do some work with my guy(s) Just recieved my snaffle bit so back to the basic we go. Taking my guy from a shank to snaffle.

ok im back! got some sleep... but yet I still feel as tired as ever. Staying at school today, so no ben :( but ill head home tommorow. Got to get a presentation finished tommorow, and study some for my 3 tests next week. Ill probably just grab a granola bar on my way to class..

Morning Moring! Just sippin on some coffee and getting ready for a busy day and probably a busy weekend. I just found out this morning when I was out at the barn feeding that my facility is having a Halloween Playday tomarrow!! I don't know how I missed all the posted signs but I did :( They will be having some speed events, trail class, costume parade and a BBQ. I'm totally going but I'm not sure if I'll enter anything. I don't even know the rules for speed events and I'd love to practice a bit before I totally make a fool of myself, lol. Maybe I'll just ride around and watch/take pics of everyone :) It's been a while since I spent a whole day at the barn and I'm looking forward to it!

Working all day, getting my hair done after work and then meeting some friends for a night of Atomic Bowling (think black lights and neon colors everywhere!) Should be fun. This weekend will be my Pumkin carving party so that's exciting too! :)
