Sorry it wasnt the 4 legged kind you cowboy and cowgirls ride, it was the two wheeled kind called a Bike. :p

So Ive got a good reason for not being on here in awhile. (forgive me):innocent:

one Ive been really really busy with work, life, ect ect blah blah blah

two Ive been training for a 150 mile bike ride I will be riding in Sept 12,13 for Multiple Sclerosis. My base the 164th Airlift Wing, Tn Air National Guard, Memphis has a Base cycling team that I will be riding with. We have cool Jerseys and matching riding shorts ( havent gotten those yet) WE hope to win the best Jersey contest. We had a fund raiser breakfast last Fri.to raise money for the team and we fed over 244 people. See my pic album for pictures.

This year I will be riding for the Daughter of a co-worker/friend of mine, her name is Shelbie, she is 16 and its only been about 8 months since she was first diagnosed with MS. I have worked hard to get ready for this ride, by losing almost 26 lbs and 3 inches in the waist, but my sacrifice is so small compared to that of Shelbie and her parents.

I hope I havent bored yall with this long post, but Im very excited about this and ask that yall keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I train for this long ride. Im not a young stud anymore. LOL  I will keep yall updated on my progress and new pics when I get them.

You can check out my MS web page and read my profile and see pics.
Thanks

Hey there Horseless!

That's great! You have to come back on here and tell us all about the 150 mile ride after it's all over with.
I love to bike, I no longer have a horse (hope to remedy that next year, or maybe this fall), so my bike is my "horse" right now.....LOL. Anyway, not a boring post at all.....I love to bike, we have a ton of great bike trails around here, most are the rails-to-trails type.

I checked out your MS web page, what you're doing is great!

So good to see you Horseless! My co-worker's husband was diagnosed with MS three years ago - they are only 30 years old. It has completely changed their lives... no more plans of a family and it's progressed so far that she does a lot of caretaking of him. It is a very scary disease and I think it's fabulous that you're doing something to help - best of luck in your training and the big day!

THere you are! Good to see ya!
My friend was diagnosed with MS 2 years ago, and she struggles with flareups all the time and steroid treatments that last weeks. She is pregnant with her first (and only) baby right now, so is off all of her medication but did have a couple of flareups lately. Im so proud of you taking part in something that is so important.
Go Horseless!!!!!

Oh, and BTW- what is it with the ANG and bicycles?? I had to flag more bikes in at the main gate than cars most nice days LOL- racing clothes and all, you dont usually recognize the base commander.......
