A fun day with Beauty- she was good! (: *video and pics*

I wanted to post this a few days ago but my internet has been spazzing since Wednesday night so I just finally was able to finish the video tonight. There's not that many affects in it so I hope it's not boring for you- but some of you will probably like the soundtrack!:D

I had a really great ride on Beauty the other day. The one before it was pretty good too. It started off a little rough as you may notice in the one part of the video- head up much?:innocent: But after a while she settled down and got a lot better.:)

But our last ride together was really fun. We had a play day, didn't do much schooling, but we did flex!:p We're not great at it yet, but I succeeded in getting her to stand still and not circle when I asked her to bend- YAY!:D That's a major accomplishement, because she's never not circled and just stood still before. Definately a step in the right dirrection, right?:)

Let see, a few notes on the vidoe... please no lectures- I know we're cantering on the wrong lead at one point- my bad.
Also, I know my 2-point sucks, I basically have no clue how to jump, same with Beauty. lol. But it was fun and we needed something different to do, so I thought a few little jumps for her to hop over wouldn't be a bad thing, just to mix it up. My posting is not all that wonderful either, my stirrups are a little too long for it. I know my equitation is terrible, I have no skillz. lol:rolleyes:
But we really did have fun, and you should have seen how well Beauty was trotting on the rail the whole time (wish I would have gotten that part on video)! She was calm and almost-- dare I say-- collected. *gasps in shock* :p I actually had her doing her western jog, and then could ask her to move into her working trot without her breaking into a lope- woo-hoo.:D I think she's finally starting to grasp the concept of "easy trot".:cool: YAY! :D

Also, towards the end of the video.... ignore my little cheerleading routine when I'm up on her, lol. I have no idea what I was doing. Arms up, arms down, thumbs up... I was happy, what can I say. I love it when she's good. xD

His eye looks funny in these two pics. It does run a little and gets gooey stuff in the corner, but I wipe it out reguraly and he's fine- I promise. It just came out looking really weird in these pictures.

Wow you too looked GREAT! I was a rebel and watched the video before I read the description and I was really impressed on that trot. Her head started to lower and relax great job! I love the pictures Dakota looks quite handsome in his blanket...and are those new reins I see on Beauty?

LoveXMyXMustang: Thanks so much! When it comes to stuff like that--sliding off her butt, standing up, around the world, etc-- she is practically bomb proof. Doesn't bother her at all. I dismount that way almost every time, lol.:p
We are making progress, even though it feels like we take on step forward then two steps back sometimes. But we're getting better.:)
