OK......well, at the risk of sounding like a nut....I am not sure I want to name my new mare "Koko". She doesn't know her name yet, I haven't really been calling her that.....soooooo....
I am trying to think up new names for her, and I made a list (yeah, I'm crazy! lol). I am sort of focusing on her red roan coloring, or maybe a Spanish or Native American name....I dunno.... Here is my list so far: Mocha; Lucy (famous redhead, ha!); Sierra; Cameo (she has a diamond-shaped star on her forehead); Kalea (means "joy" and "happiness" in Hawaiian); Reina (means "Queen" in Spanish).
Does anyone have any other suggestions??

I'm terrible with naming things I haven't met. I like Rosie for her, though :)

I like Cameo! I think a Spanish name would be cool...but red roans just cry out for "Sugar Cookie" or "Cinnamon 'n' Sugar." But--I think your other ideas are much better! I'd vote for Cameo.

I am sort of leaning toward Mocha or Cameo right now.... If only I could make up my mind....lol.

Cameo has a pretty sound--feminine. It suits her, I think.

yeah you should change her name! My pony Gypsee didn't respond to her old name (Extra) when we got her, so I changed it to Gypsee! :)

There is a boarder at our barn named Sierra, she's beautiful. I like her name, a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.
If I had a mare and had to pick a name I was going to name her Kachina, I call the little filly at the barn Kachina, they don't call her that but I call her my little Kachina. I have a mare but she had a registered name so we just sort of built on that and called her Delta and then my friend said we should add Dawn to it so her name is Delta Dawn, after a song about a crazy person which fits us perfectlly since we're sort of crazy!
Good luck picking a name, I'm really not good at it. She's such a pretty girl.

Naming is so hard!
The word red in the following languages:
French: Rouge
Indonesian: Merah
Italian: Rosso
Latvian: Sarkans
Romanian: Rosu
Don't know if you like any of those lol

I like Kalea, but then I'm partial to Hawaiian names. You could go with something like Caliente (Spanish) which means HOT, cause she's a hottie. Call her Cali for short!
