View Full Version : Ah.. it's done!

Well the new fence is finally up. It's been flagged and the horses have been let out in it. They are officially in the winter pasture with the cattle and the summer pasture is closed off for the season.

They seem to really like it! It's all open field with few trees, but they are closer to the house and the horse shed and the barn. We figured we might as well close everyone in now so they are all out of the woods for hunting season and then when the pond starts to freeze over.

AND - since they are now so close to the house, instead of a few miles away in the far corner of the far pasture... I can run out when the kids are napping and give them some lovin'!!! I just got in right now from giving them a good brush down and got all the mud off them from the morning rain.

Whoo hoo!

Oh, and the fencer definitely works. lol. I accidentally got shocked! :eek:

Congratulations! It feels good to finish a big project like that, doesn't it?:) How about some pics?

lol. i'll try to get out before it's dark, but you might have to wait until tomorrow. hubby is out doing other stuff and i'm inside with the kiddos!

I was thinking the same thing about this thread and pics...gesh girl, get jiggy with it will ya.

It's a nice feeling to get it done, isn't it?! Yes, we LOVE pics on here you know....lol.
And, you got the fence all done just in time for the windy weather that is coming....I see there are high wind warnings and watches out! :eek:

Sorry guys.. I was too busy trying to tie markers to the fence... watch out for the bull (who isn't mean, just really FRIENDLY) and not freeze my butt off! Camera never even crossed my mind.

But hey, I can look out almost any window and see the horses! Whoo hoo!!

Congrads, it does feel good to finish a project.. And yes it is nice to look out your window and see your horses. I love to watch them as they graze and play without them knowing I am there. As soon as they see me they stop and come up to the fence as to say "hey what's up Mom?" So now tomorrow first thing, get some pictures!
