I was just wondering,, does anyone wear a sports bra when they ride? What kind do you like? I think I need to get a few so I want to know which ones might work better and are comfortable and are affordable. Thanks for your input:)..

Boy I do... tight sports bra and spandex bicycle shorts to try to hold the jiggles to a minimum :)

On a 'more than you really wanted to know' note, riding is about the only time I wear a bra. Dang uncomfortable torture devices, if you ask me.

ROTFLMAO! :hysterical: That was more than I needed to know!:p LOL, jk.;)

Anyway, I do wear a sports bra when I ride, run, lift weights, or basically whenever enless I have to wear a regular bra for a certain shirt or something. I like the sports ones so much better. So much more comfortable in my opinion.:)
Now whether or not I really need a sports type bra for riding, etc is questionable.. considering I'm only a 34A or 32B.:innocent: lol....

I'm not sure what kind I wear, I get them at walmart. Sometimes from the girls' section.:o But there's also a certain kind in the ladies' section that I like because they actually come in a size 32 and has adjustable straps, but is still a sports bra.

I have to wear a tight sports bra being that I am well endowed. Not really sure what brand cause I got at Sears. I didn't use to but when my husband made a comment about me being in the group of bouncing biggies I realized I needed one too.

I always wear one when I ride. I like the Champion ones - they've proven themselves basically indestructible (read: they go through the washer and the drier... so I don't have to worry about fishing them out seperately).

And I'm with WB - they're evil torture devices... unless you're going to be trotting a lot. Then they're a God-send. :D

Definitely - I think the ones I generally prefer are the Hanes Sports bras (I just get them at Walmart).

Unlike SOME people, I wear a sports bra all the time - I can't stand regular bras and I'm not up to going al la mode! :D

I can't stand sports bras. I don't know why. They're just icky. I don't think they give enough support. Me and my 36Cs NEED support lol.

I have an under armour one, $50, but it's really good.

I use it at the gym and if I start competing again, I'll use it then too.

It's hell to get into, and I call it my uno-boob, but it is very comfortable to wear and it works.

I'm 2nding the Champion ones. I am "well endowed" too and they are the ONLY ones that actually offer any support. Mine even has velcro adjustments on the straps, so any bouncing, etc. doen'st make the strap length all screwy. And it fastens in the back like a regular bra so no struggling to get into.

And as ALOK mentioned.. indestructible. Mine was a little spendy but worth EVERY PENNY!

They don't make that size I guess...nobody believes me when I tell them that that is the size I am, so I say they are more than welcome to come with me and I'll get re-measured, lmbo. I just hide them well. :D I have to deal with 32C bras at the moment, but the band is still too big on the tightest setting, bleh. Gap and American Eagle have that size, though. xD

Yes! I bought a Lily of France sports bra over the summer, and now I own three! LOL. Turns out they're great under a uniform too.. here's a link. I was a little suspicious at the way it looked w/ the wire on the outside, but it's soo comfy. :)

http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/intimates/bras/sportsbras/PRD~75319/Lily+of+France+In+Action+Sport+Bra.jsp

edit: Then BIGGEST reason I love this one is because you do not get the "uniboob" look/feel you get with all the "regular" kinds.. that was the reason I never could wear one- it was so uncomfy in that way, to me.

i too am well endowed-34D- both my sis-even more endowed then i- and i prefer victoria's secret sports bras, they really do absorb the shock of any bounce and they last practically forever if taken care of properly-washed on gentle cycle and then dried on a rack

Wow. I have to say I have YET to find a bra to keep the girls quiet. When I was competing in Little Britches Rodeo I would wear 2 sometimes 3 of the dang things to keep from giving myself black eyes. Vet wrap works wonders for chasin' cans though LOL

Anyway, the Enell seems to be the only thing in my size but I refuse to pay that right now, plus who wants one giant sized 38DD uni boob??? I sure don't, someone might mistake me for a shelf and try to stack books or something.

I'm a 34 C/D (depending on the brand of bra and what I'm wearing) and I'm a huge Victoria's Secret fan. I have 4 sportbras from them and didn't pay over $20 for any of them. Just dug through the huge sale bins for a bit and that was that. I also have several Under Armour bras I got from the E-team in Auburn and I like them a lot but they're a bit tight. The VS ones have adjustable hooks on the side which I really really like. They also have mesh panels that breather really well.

In my days of weightlifting and some body building I had a 52" chest. It has atrophied since I got older but there is still plenty of chest and with a little Minnesota winter insulation added there is some bounce. BUT, I am not going to look into some support. I have done the 2 sports bras together thing before, but I get one huge uni-boob and it is really uncomfortable. Hubby jokes my clevage looks like a credit card machine, not funny.

I usually were a regular bra with a sports bra over it. Or a regular bra with an athletic tank top with built in bra over it.

Hey that 38 DD is not much at all when you compare it to the 36 G size i just finally got rid of. Two weeks ago I HAD to wear the Enell compression just to fit into my shirts, but after the surgery took off 5 LBS total of weight I'm now back down to just a D.

Seriously though the Enell is really truly worth it for some one of monster preportions. Believe me I know.

Anyway, the Enell seems to be the only thing in my size but I refuse to pay that right now, plus who wants one giant sized 38DD uni boob??? I sure don't, someone might mistake me for a shelf and try to stack books or something.

Well I've tried alot of protection , and besides chaps , riding helmet , deodorant ,
I'll guess I'll have to try the sports bra.
Do they give instructions on how to put them on ?? ;)

Be sure to take a picture once you have figured out how to put it on. We will want to make sure it fits correctly - don't want you getting saddle sore ;)

Mandi- VERY NICE PIC.
RocknK-I can see the picture just fine, too bad you can't

JUST KIDDING!!!!!

I used mine in a pleasure class one day. If you were not riding a chestnut or sorrel you didn't place. Well me, my girls and my grulla gelding took first. My trainer knew the judge and told me he liked boobs. Well I changed bras to allow some bounce, put on my tightest shirt and stuck the girls out. I earned every bit of that blue ribbon.

See guys, we women know how to play you. Show you somethin somethin and we get our way everytime.

LOL. Ill have to find one of those that dont make me look like a one eyed monster. I searched and searched for a bra that would support me properly. I so hate underwire, but have to wear one.

On a 'more than you really wanted to know' note, riding is about the only time I wear a bra. Dang uncomfortable torture devices, if you ask me.

Don't get me started here folks. Last time we had this I posted a link to show what the majority of ALL 40 year old breasts look like. I don't wear a bra either and try to avoid it as much as possible...they were designed by men no doubt...

How on god's green earth did I miss this thread?? My giggles led to my boss asking what was funny....not good....lol. I guess I would be considered a lucky one...sports bra is pretty optional for me while riding. I definitely wear them in the gym but I find that a tight tank top on top of a regular bra (I'm a Victoria Secret fan) will do the trick just fine. If it's the particular time of the month when my girls are about to cry with sensitivity I'll put my tightest sports bra on on and it helps. I have the ones made by Goddess Wear.

I don't have that style in particular...that site is pretty lame, they need to do some work on it for sure. They have alot bigger selection than what's shown. Mine has cross back but it's not low cut and the material is nice and thick. They have the best workout pants too! They are made for the Brazillian type...all booty and no bust.
