Not sure if its good or bad, but its there.
Im not worried about the trainer.
My baby is leaving the property tomorrow.
How can I go feed ect with him not there? I will. I will just miss him.

I will be working Myst, she will help me through it, but dang it, Im feeling like I need a tissue......fighting that big time.

Trailer is shinny clean and its raining now....at least it held out until the guy was done.
He did an awesome job!! I will use him again for other pressure spray jobs.

I didnt get the horses bathed cause its raining...ugh. City will have to go with just a good brushing.

Camera is ordered and should be here by Friday, so for now you will have to deal with phone pics when I can get them. The indoor arena pics may not come out...but you will be updated.

Can I have a hug, my baby is leaving me....all for the good, but still.

{{{{hugs}}}} The time will go by fast. And isn't it about an hour's drive? That's not too far. Heck, I drive 20 minutes just to get to the grocery store. Sounds like you will be keeping busy with Myst. Sometimes it's the anticipation and leading up to something that's the worse. Once the situation is here, you will deal with it just fine. We are here for you though!

I felt the same way about Muffin leaving to training. It was so weird to to wake up and not have a horse to feed or peek on him out the windows.

It's just nervousness about change and excitement about what's to come! :) At least you have another horse to work with, I was driving 45 mins almost every day to see Muffin just to get my horsey "fix". lol This is going to be great, you can work with Myst to keep her busy while her buddy is gone and City will get to get out be worked with off the property and tuned up.

This is going to be an adventure for all of you! :)

I would be feeling the same way too, they're family. Go visit him as much as you can, how far away will he be from you?

Thank you. They are much appreciated.

City will be about 45 min from home. If I go straight from work to see him, probably less.

I will visit him 2 to 3 times a week at least. Maybe even go just to clean his stall on the trainers off day, just to hang with him a bit.

Ah Vick, I know you'll miss having him at home but it's only temporary. He'll come back the new and improved City.;)

*hugz* I'm sure he'll miss you as much as you miss him if not more. Just remember he's going to come back to you a gentleman. And at least you have Myst there to love on and work with to help keep your mind occupied. Time will fly by and before you know it he'll be home again and ready to go on a nice trail ride :)

Think of it as a kid gone off to camp for the summer. Sure - you'll miss him, and life will be a bit different wghile he's gone - but know that he's gonna be back soon. Enjoy the extra time you have now - he'll be home before you know it! And think of how much MORE you will enjoy him when he gets home!

He got a good brushing and I brought him up and cleaned his sheath.
Trailer is loaded with the things I am taking, grain n tupperware container for it, jolly ball, lik it, headstall.
Pulled his medical records. Tomorrow I will load 1/2 bale of hay for the feed change.

Going to get up early and feed so he will have a comfortable trailer ride.

Ill spend some time loving on Myst tomorrow so she dosnt feel alone.
Shes independent, herd boss, but likes her pasture buddy being there.
At least she wont go bonkers(run their living area like he does) when I take him out.
She will sure talk up a storm though, and she has one BIG booming voice.
I swear she was a stud at one time....LOL...she rocks the ground when she talks.

Im also glad that she is so responsive to me, it'll make for an easier transition for her.
She is such a good girl, independent yes, but very calm, smart and sweet.

Truck n trailer ready to rock. Horses fed at 530 this AM. I need to go load the 1/2 bale of hay, load City and were off. To early to go, but I will be leaving around 745......
Im better today.
City was a snot at feeding and made a circle almost pushing me with his hinney,,,yup, he got a good smack in the chest for that disrespect and backed out of his feeding area. I only wish I had my leather popper crop with me, Id of backed him up across the pen.

City has no idea whats coming! He's going to be shocked to find out he has to go to school and respect the teachers! lol :) No more spoiling for him, it's work time now. You will get a different horse back when all is said and done, he will be much more respectful and easy to work with.

Poor Muffin was in shock when he went to school, not only all the sites and smells of other horses but having to behave himself too! ohh my, he was like a kid that didn't know what to do with himself but didn't want to get in trouble too. haha:hysterical: It helped him learn to focus more on his leader and not get all excited at everything.

City is going to do great, he's already well socialized and you have put a lot of ground work on him. He just needs a little time at boot camp to get him back to work with the right attitude :)

Have a great day! It's always hard to let our babies go even if it's just to the trainers :) I sent my mare off the the horse show 2 days before I headed out I was a mess.
