Well one of the kittens brought home a frog again. It was outside on the porch in the cold and it's still alive. Well I brought it in and put it in one of those little tanks in some warm water. My mom's not home and she usually takes care of little animals like that.
What can I do? The little guy doesn't appear to be hurt in any way and he's still moving around a little, but he got very cold.

I don't have any suggestions but I hope he'll be all right

I wouldn't put him IN water. He's probably a tree and ground dwelling frog. Just give him access to water, and warm him up. A light bulb close would feel warm.
If he's gonna make it, he'll make it. Not much you can do if he's been through too much.

Thanks WB, zoel. WB I found the lightbulb that my mom got to use for something and hung it on the side of the little tank. I put a little less water in it and he's out of it right now.
Anything else I can do and what should I do when he warms up?
BTW when I had to catch him so I could dump the other water out of the tank, he was pretty hard to catch hopping around so he's doing pretty well.

Sounds like he's doing fine. :D
Well, what to do.... you could either have a pet frog, or you could let him go someplace. All the other frogs are settling in someplace to hibernate for winter. If you put him back out, I'd put him where he can dig in and be warm, perhaps even under the house if he can get in and out from there.

LOL I don't think my mom would fancy the idea of keeping a wild frog as a pet. I'll probably let him go out by the swamp. There's lots of trees down there and that's where the other little frogs live. I can't put him under the house though there really isn't anywhere to put him around the house.
Thanks by the way WB.

The swamp sounds like a good frog place. :)
We have had two porch frogs in year's past. They liked to hide on the top of our porch posts and catch bugs that were drawn to the light. I didn't see any this year and I miss 'em.

Aww so cute WB. Maybe I'll get a couple of pics of him before I set him free. I'm a tad worried now though. He's not moving much anymore, just sitting in there, but I suppose he's had a rather traumatic day.

Yeah - he's pooped.
And given the comments from hubby and Arrow, make sure he's not getting TOO warm. ;)

The last time I checked he still felt a little cold, but I just checked him and he was warm so I took out the light bulb. He's under a lamp which isn't really that warm just to make sure it doesn't get cold again. I wanted to go put him out before it got dark, but I'm not sure if I should...

I'd keep him overnight now that you've got him. If he makes it till morning, I'd guess he's going to survive. I'd let him out tomorrow mid morning so he's got lots of time to find a place to hunker down before nightfall.

Ok thanks WB I think that's what I'll do. I don't want to put him right out in the cold now that he's finally getting warmed up. Don't know where I can keep him overnight though that would be safe from the cats and keep him warm...
