Hi!
This is my Pony Gypsee. We bought her from this camp who had bought her from an auction, but then found out they couldn't use her cause her canter was to fast for beginners and people fell off her. But we get along great! :) Anyway, she had a hard life before we got her, (long story! I'll tell it some other time) so we don't know anything about her breeding, history etc, except from when she was at this camp.

So what breed you think she is?
I was thinking maybe a Pony Of the Americas Cross, 'cause she has the colouring of an Appaloosa or a POA, but she's smaller than a normal App, but bigger than a POA.
But she moves like a pony, that's why I was thinking POA, but what are your ideas?
They said when we bought her that the vet said she was 6, and my sister looked in her mouth, and figured she was older than 5 but definitely younger than 10, so that sounds about right.

Here are some pics of her
Sorry, the full body pics aren't the greatest. hehe, I mainly only have head shots, so those are from when I first got her.

Let me know what you think!

Awww she is very pretty! I think a POA is a great idea! Or, I always liked Welsh too, and some Welsh can get fairly tall.

She's adorable! How tall is she exactly? I'd say POA!

Thanks! I love hearing what breed people think she is, as we do not know at all what she could be :)

She's a little large to be straight POA- maybe some Quarter Horse in there? She's got a little bit of that stocky build.

Don't forget that she may also be an appaloosa. She's not that small and at least two of mine are in that size range.

Like Hobo said, she could be an Appaloosa. I have a registered mare that stands 14.1 hands. The minimum height for an Appaloosa is 14 hands.

Awww!! She is sooo cute! I'd say just appy, I have seen them in that range.

Another question would be......what kind of foal are you hoping for? What height do you want in the foal? A POA is smaller and an Appaloosa would be taller (altho you do not want to breed her to a huge stallion). And what do you hope/plan to use the foal for....trail, showing?......etc.

I think she looks appy. She's not too small to be an app & she looks like an absolute sweetheart, Congratulations!

I agree with the others, I bet she is an Appaloosa.....at any rate, she sure is a cutie!

hmmm... maybe part Qh, and for some reason "moragn" just keeps popping into my mind. But there is definitely some pony in there...hmmm (*strokes chin*) interesting...
