Heads up everyone, the first winter storm of the season is on its way! Snow, rain, wind, the whole shebang!

Up here where I am, the wind chills are expected to be in the teens tomorrow- brrrr!

Time to batten down the hatches!

I see there are high wind warnings and watches out.....winds over 40 mph. Ish. Definitely will be staying home tomorrow I guess.

We're supposed to get those winds too- ick! I hope this isn't a hint of what this winter's going to be like!

Are you going to get much snow or rain too? I think we are getting snow flurries Monday. :eek: I did read the Old Farmer's Almanac, and the upper Midwest was going to see a more mild winter, I sure hope so!

Oh no....I just looked at the National Weather Service website, and now they're saying a chance for snow here tomorrow! Nooooooo!

Ha! You're going to get the leftovers of what we're going to get!

From what I'm hearing, there's a lot of nasty weather in other parts east of us- lake effect snow and all that.

My dearly departed father used to tell me stories about winter in WI, glad Pops (my grandfather) had the sense to move to CA. Did I tell you it was over 80 deg here today. Had a most excellent ride in the sunshine.

THanks for the heads up guys. SNOW. ugh. I guess it has to happen sometime... at least we got the fences done and everything ready for winter today in the rain.

My dearly departed father used to tell me stories about winter in WI, glad Pops (my grandfather) had the sense to move to CA. Did I tell you it was over 80 deg here today. Had a most excellent ride in the sunshine.

Hope all ya all have fun in the snow and COLD!!!This coming from a former Wisconsinite. Ya, I lived in Wisc for most of my life. I still have all my family there. I keep thinking I want to move back there and by that time it`s winter. No can do.Brrrrr! I feel for ya`ll.

Well, so far this morning no snow, just a little bit of drizzle is all. The winds are maybe gusting to about 30 mph, so not too bad here....yet.

Winds are about the same here- had a little bit of spitting snow this morning- now it's just cold and nasty.

I'll have to check my TWC desktop soon and see what it's going to be like tonight.

We're lucky if we get snow once through the whole year :(. I love snow - it turns everyone back into 3year olds :)

We had some sleet here earlier this morning, but just now the sun was out for 5 WHOLE MINTUES! ;)

It's windy, rainy and cold though. I even sent hubby to check on the horses this morning because it was too cold for me. I guess I better buck up!

I just ventured outside to take the garbage can out to the end of the driveway, the temps have dropped into the 30's....it sure is cold! I see there is sleet on the radar south of us, and it's kind of spitting out some drizzle right now. Looks like a warm up later on this coming week tho.....yipee!!

We've had the winds all day. Had some snow flurries this afternoon but the ground is just wet.

As of now, the big thing is going to be the wind chills here- down in the teens- brrrr! A little cold for this time of year!

Yuck!!! Everyone pile in the trailer and head down to Texas for the winter. Summer may suck around here but we do Winter right. (not as good as those Californians that are blessed to live near the ocean but we make it through generally without snow!

wow, the wind is really howling right now. just blew something off the front porch!!!

the horses seem to be doing alright though in the new pasture... they are hanging out at the bottom of the hill out of the wind. lol. haven't figured out that there's a horse shed at the top of the hill out of the wind that they can use.

over 80 degrees? in late october? :huh: .......... i don't think ive ever heard of such a thing:p

Right now it doesn't seem to be doing much here.....but I'm protected on two sides by hills.....
