I moved to Upstate New York (near Cooperstown) to train horses. I've got a barn I can train out of, but the business partner that was supposed to ahve all these outside horses lined up for me to train completely flaked out and I have had one horse in for the last thee weeks, and none coming in anytime soon. If I don't get some horses in quick, or find a regular job training for someone else I have to go home (Not necessarily a bad thing....). Does anyone know of any contacts in this area, or Northern PA, as far as breeders or stables that might be in need of a really good trainer?

Okay, anyone know of any trainers west of the Badlands that need a hand?

I sure hope you find some work up there soon.

In the mean-time... how's the one horse coming along? :D

Awesome! She's a really well bred running QH, and has way too big a motor for the lady that owns her. But......she can get on her and ride her safely now, even if the horse gets antsy and nervous. (The horse, or the rider.....). She's a really nice mare, and for sale. If I had the money the lady needs, I'd buy her in a (pardon the pun) New York minute! She's worth every dime of it.

We used to have a house in Richfield Springs, near Cooperstown. We bought all of our horses from Phil Quarter and his barn manager, Sue Gridley. They know everybody. I'd look them up.
I really miss that area. Good Luck.
