So how is everyone? :headscratch:
I've been pretty busy with school, so mainly I have just been lurking on here and not posting! :innocent:*hides from fish* This weeked I only have chemistry notes for homework!:cowboy: They're not due till tuesday, but its about 25-30 pages, So I plan on attempting to get them done this weekend :) Sunday I'm going to temple farms to see the lipizzans show. It should be interesting! I'll try to bring my camera
What have all of you been up to? Exciting plans for the weekend?
Well anyways, that ended up short! But I'm sitting here repeatedly telling myself to start my chemistry notes instead of sitting on here! :o:rolleyes: ofcourse, I'm a big procrastinator!;)

I'm restless tonight and have nothing to do. And I have nothing exciting to report because it's been raining here since Tuesday and my days have all been boring because of it. And I'm cranky because my teeth are hurting like crazy and I don't think my orthodontist has a clue what he's doing.  :nono:
I have to work tomorrow, and it's supposed to keep raining well into next week so I don't have high hopes for riding Sunday.:( So I guess I don't have much to chat about. *sigh*
Oh well. I'll just do this to PoniesRock to entertain myself----> :trout: hehe...:innocent:

Sorry I'm such a sadsack.:innocent: I get moody when my teeth hurt. But chasing you around with a fish is making me feel a little better.:D If you're a true friend you'll let me hit you with a fish because it makes me forget just how much my mouth hurts.:o You know you love me!:p
I definately need to ride. If it's still raining on Sunday I may have to resort to riding Dakota bareback in the rain for a little while. The hard part will be keeping the camera from getting wet!

I like your avatar, btw! :D
That though constantly crosses my mind..I have zero window tint on my car and always dance like a crazy lady and hysterically laugh at myself...My niece and sister always freak out and get embarrassed...so then I honk at red lights, turn my music UP, and roll my windows down hahaha
I'm twisted..I'm laughing at this right now.

I have no idea what kind of pain reliever I took because my mom always buys the cheap off brand of OTC drugs like Advil, Ibprofin, Tylenol, etc. and it doesn't say the real name of it on the bottle. The pills were blue... that's helpful, right?:innocent: But nothing really helps much anyway. It's pretty much a dull ache that won't go away. Unless of course I accidentally touch my teeth together- then it sends a shooting pain through my whole mouth.

Friends just left... we got together for one last time 'fore school starts again. Speaking of which, I got my schedual, and I have algebra first hour! How am I s'possed to do math at 7:30 in the morning?! lol... I'll live.
Had my first-ever blood test today... it was horrible! :puke:
Hope your teeth feel better, Dakota! I've been there- not too fun. Do you know when you get 'em off? Hopefully not too much longer!
One week till wisdom teeth get taking out... fun fun!

Thanks, doc. I have no idea when I get them off.:( I've had them on for a year now, but my ortho said 3-4 years was likely.
I'm just hoping my orthodontist only appears to not know what he's doing but really does know anyway.:o At my second to last appointment he somehow managed to pull my two front teeth apart so much that I looked like a chipmunk or a gopher or something. Everyone kind of spazzed out when they saw how much my teeth had moved (and not the way they were supposed to at all) so they put this chain on to pull them back together which REALLY hurt, but straightened them out again. At my latest appointment (yesterday) they took the chain off, and now my front teeth are steadily moving back apart again. So I'll be a chipmunk again in no time. Now if some one could explain the logic behind that one....
I am so restless tonight and I don't know why. I was tired and cranky all day because it was rainy again and my teeth hurt, but I am so wired now. I feel like going for a run (but it's pitch black out and 11:27 pm:innocent:) or dropping and doing push ups and situps, lmao. I should be getting my butt to bed before my dad wakes up and yells at me to go to sleep.

I agree, that's not a good sign. Before I ever got braces my front teeth were pretty normally spaced, not far apart like were when he moved them that way and now they're going like that again. Apparently he is trying to get 'expansion' and enough room to pull my one messed up tooth forward. My mouth is so small that it's not working for him. He doesn't have much of a bedside manner and doesn't talk that much do I don't really know what his plan is or why my teeth are moving the way theu are. I mean he's pleasant enough.... He says hi when he comes in, asks "how are you?" or "Are you ready for school?" then goes to work on my mouth, stays just long enough to see what's going on with my teeth and cause me some pain, and then leaves to let the assistent (she's also causes me a lot of pain but she's really nice at least) or whatever put the wires back on, etc.
This is what I looked like before I got braces. My teeth were (are) terrible and I looked like a freak.:o

This was a few months after I got my braces on:

These aren't the best pics, but you can kind of see what my teeth looked like prior to yesterday's appointment in these pics:

Now my front teeth have a noticably bigger space between them, and I just got them tightened yesterday.
About your teeth, D. When my nephew had his braces, after one of his adjustments, he kept complaining about the pain. It went on for a while, and as it turns out, his braces pulled one of his teeth completely out. So, don't try to accept the pain without being sure something isn't amiss.

I think I'm taking the train back up in a couple weeks. Not too much longer! Hhmmm...I'm trying to check the train schedule to see if I can get to any of my friends' schools...that would be fun!

That is not an ecouraging thought!  I've told them how much it hurts before, but they never seem to believe me. I've talked to lots of other people who have had braces and most of them say they have similar pains too so I kind of thought it was normal (and I do have sensitive teeth). But wow, that is terrible--and very scary--about your newphew!

I turned this thread into teeth talk...its a habit of mine lolol!so don't fret, I'm the crazy one ;) He can't "create" expansion without a palate expander. (This thing that covers the roof of your mouth and you twist it daily/weekly/monthly etc) it stretches your palate open...therefore creating more space in your mouth....that's the only way he can "open you up" so to speak. Otherwise u pull teeth. You don't separate teeth to "make more room" I'm sorry he doesn't have much bedside manner. That's a big peeve of mine. I'd call and let the office know that your teeth are opening back up. Its important that they know. ASAP. 3-4 years sound about right for your treatment. I didn't have any crowding...only a LARGE gap and I was in them for ab 3-4years. My sister had them on twice in her life because of a crappy ortho treatment. :( (I'm in the dental field- if u didn't know that lol- just so I don't look crazy)

when i had my braces, they would put the chain bands on to get rid of a space and it would hurt like crazy for a few days. then next month i would go in and they would put the normal bands on and the stupid gap would come right back. but i had braces for about 6 years just to get rid of a gap in my front teeth. the only good thing was my ortho was really nice and and if i thought something was wrong of hurting more that normal he would listen to me and try to help.
