I bought this myler bit at a garage sale for 10.00. Can anyone tell me about it? Just wondering if it would be ok to use on Monte.
Thanks

The mouthpiece looks mild, and it seems to have short shanks (I prefer short shanks)..... give it a try and see how he does in it. It looks like a nice bit.
This looks to be the same bit as yours.....I'd say that you got a good deal on it!

ETA: Also found this too..... Sounds like a decent bit, I've seen them around before....

Yeh I thought it was a good deal. She had another one there but she wanted cash and I only had 10.00 on me. I will see if she will hold it for me.

They seem to sell for about $75 or so, at the tack shops, so you got a great deal. I like the fact that it has a mild mouthpiece. If it had been me, I would have definitely bought it. :)

I use that bit & really like it, so do my horses. It's the only curb I use. You can direct rein with it if you have to too.You got a good deal.

Yup super good deal. I use that on Trouble, she loves it and responses great to it. And like natisha said you can direct rein in it if needed.

That is an awsome bit! They are great for colts or better broke horses. I just paid $70 dollars for a Dutton that is built just like that. You really scored! :)

Yup, it makes them cough and sneeze. Better go ahead and send it to me so I can dispose of it properly...
Nah, it's a great bit, like everyone else said. Myler doesn't make a bad bit, some strong ones certainly but no bad ones. I also like short shanks if I'm using shanks.

I've never used one- but I've heard nothing but good things about them. (except of course for the runny nose... ;) lol)
I'm glad he went well in it for you! :)
