Any Georgians Attending the Deep Roots Festival?

Hello Georgians,

If any of you live close to Milledgeville, you may want to take in the Deep Roots Festival this fall. My new favorite band, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, are headlining. If you like soulful, bluesy, hard-driving rock n' roll, you won't be disappointed. I guarantee it.

Wish I could join you, but the "entertainment" budget is shot for the year. Between now and 2010, it will be Buster and I hanging out on the farm, and me fishing for trout/salmon in Michigan's fantastic rivers. That's fun enough for me, though. :)

That looks really cool! Unfortunately (though not regrettably), my entertainment/trip budget was kinda shot with the road trip... so I'll be spending the next several months hanging out with the horses and annoying my cousins. :D

It's not too far from Carla (then again, I may not be the best judge of distance - I decided New Mexico wasn't too far :p), so maybe she'll be headed that way.

That is just about 2 hours from me but I am not really into that kind of music. I would have driven there to meet the great JackieB though...

ALOK..?? LOL, it's a good three hours from me. Not sure what you consider close, though. :p But like you said, NM wasn't "too far" for you.

I would definitely check them out though, if it were closer. I like all kinds of music, barring only a few genres. :)
