Hauling Info

I hope it's OK to post this here. There is a donkey in Coffeen, IL 62017 that I would like hauled to Salem, OR 97305. The estimates I've gotten are out of my range at $1300 :eek: and above. I've posted on the yahoo group hitchhiking horses I think it's called, and those were where the estimates came from. I really want this jennet but I can only afford about half that for hauling. Should I just forget about her and keep looking for something like her closer to home?:confused:

You don't know anyone with a float or truck you could ask? You could put a notice up at a pony club, asking to hire a float & driver.

Well I actually do have my own truck and trailer, but it's only a 2 horse bumper pull and this is a yearling who hasn't had much handling so am hoping to find something with a decent maybe air-ride trailer and a big truck or semi. It's 2087.65 miles one way! :huh:

We will have a truck leaving Wisconsin on 11/02 heading to New Mexico with a few open stalls . We can pick up or drop off along the way in Wi, Mn, Ia, Mo, Ks, Ok, Tx, Nm


We will be leaving New Mexico around 11/05 heading back to Wisconsin. We can pick up or drop off along the way in Nm, Co, Ks, Ne, Mo, Ia, Mn, Wi
