My first event and... (pic overload)

I won! Well today I had my first full event ever and it was awesome! I got first in dressage and got a 37 which is 2.5 points lower than the last time I did the test. I went clear on cross-country and jumping. I am so excited right now! Because :worthless: here they are! I don't have any of cross country b/c they haven't posted them yet. thanks everyone! hehe pippin is definitely classy. she is my riding teachers event horse. she is a rockstar jumper but i worked crazy hard on my dressage, it paid off in the end though;) I love that color, my dream horse would be a dark bay morgan like her, but not so crazy on cross country, lol. gotta love the feeling of controlling a fire breathing dragon in the woods on course!

i have loved eventing since i was like eight and my mom got me a video of Erin Go Brah for christmas. i have finally gotten the chance to start eventing and i love it! I can't wait for the next season.

my usual colors are maroon and navy but on pippin they are always purple and pink and i love it! The event was a learn to event school event at the topsfield horse park. The website is essexcountyhorse.org.

thanks everyone! and yes, there were football games all day, it was a little freaky for some horses, but not pippin. once when the speakers crack like five horses scattered a pippin just pricked her ears at it and she was closer than any of them. thanks WB i love the :worthless: it hilarious

Haha, that happened to me the first time I took Dakota (when I first got him) to a local show just to fool around and do walk trot game classes with him. The very first time the loud speaker souded we were standing dirrectly beneath it, and it was LOUD.:rolleyes: I thought for sure he would freak but he just stood there and looked around, lol.:D

Well you would think that the noise of a football game would bother most horses but eventing horses are used to a lot of noise and activity going on around them constantly. This weekend, there were huge trucks and trailers driving in and out of the barn areas with the mounted riders just riding along. And the announcements going constantly. I was so impressed with how calm the riders and horses were.
