I'm not up to much of anything, my best friend has to work (she owns her own shop, a hair salon), and my other buddies are all out of town with family. So it's just me and the critters. I may take the dogs out for a drive, and a few stops at some local parks for a nice hike, and snap a few photos with my camera. Our weather here is picture perfect.....sunshine, and 70's.

Sounds like a nice relaxing weekend!

We are cutting the last crop of hay for the year, raking, baling and putting it up in the barn the whole weekend. I'm happy that it's going to be done and we don't have to worry about not having enough. We will hopefully put up at least 300 bales.

Then we are starting to rip out the benches, etc. in the kitchen for our remodel (my dad is doing it).

And somewhere in there we are going to relax.... :)

I'm not sure yet what I'll be doing. So far, it looks like I will go garage saling tomorrow, and then pretty much staying home for the weekend. I never know from one day to the next anymore, it seems.

Vegas..... oh wow..... that sounds like a riot. Remember.....what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas....LOL.
Sorry.... I just couldn't resist. ;)

I was there once, but I was just a kid at the time and so I couldn't have any fun, it was part of our family vacation on our way to California back in the 1960's, I remember we stayed at the Flamingo.

I never thought of that Vick..... but I imagine holidays are VERY busy for you at work!

I'll be doing a ton of overtime at the new job throughout the entire month of September (looks like 60 hours a week), so I am going to rest up this weekend.....LOL.

Yah! I'm not actually leaving for Vegas until Tuesday, then staying through the weekend till Monday. A couple of friends of mine from da Waterin' Hole are getting married on Wednesday. About 20 people from da Waterin' Hole are going. It should be a hoot. The Bride is a serious (and by serious I mean pathological) Elvis fan. Serious Elvis obsession. So... they're having an Elvis themed wedding. I think they're even passing out the glasses with built-in sideburns.

Then some other friends (ex-PTI folk) are showing up for the weekend, so I just decided to stay on through. It all starts at the Tropicana. May move to the MGM or elsewhere. Not sure. It should be fun and appropriately wierd. :)

I'm doing a sailboat race in northern Michigan. Been tearing up the highways for a week up here and doing some kayaking/canoeing, too.

Racing the next two days, then heading back to Wyoming on Monday.

I will spend most of the weekend nursing my aching jaw (had two molars extracted today) and watching everyone else have fun eating tons of yummy food. I am on a liquid/soft for diet until the holes close up. thank goodness for yummy flavored yogurts!

Oh ouch All4Grace! That sounds miserable, I hope they gave you some good meds to take.

Oh wow.....an Elvis-themed wedding?! What fun! I love all that Elvis stuff!

And mare..... sailboat racing?! Now that would be so fun!

Moving to Colorado..... **sigh**..... my dream is to someday do that very thing! :)

Riding would be perfect! I was thinking I wouldn't mind trying to find a place to take a trailride.....this being horseless is not fun at all let me tell you..... I must remedy that situation soon methinks!

I'm in Tampa visiting my mom right now. I may get to go out and ride the babies I backed at the beginning of summer.... apparently no one has ridden them since!
Sunday I head back up to Gainesville and pick up my sister who is there visiting her boyfriend right now and take her back to school in Tallahassee. LMFAO concert with her then back to Gainesville Monday to party with some friends coming for a visit. So I'll be super busy. I calculated 10 hours spent driving :( But worth it.

Remali -- I think "sailboat racing" is an oxymoron. You're never really going that fast. lol Well, the boat doesn't. The crew does. It should be called crew racing. We run around like we're in a panic.

I'm "on-call" this weekend. Means no drinking or partying, darn. Gotta respond quick to electrical problems for the City I work for, mostly traffic signals. No long rides just short stuff around the barn. Most of my pards are out of town anyways. Might even get some chores done around the house since I gotta be here most of the time.:p

Work! Last night I got home about 9:30 and this morning I am meeting my supervisor for a boat and water safety detail. We'll be driving around in a a boat in full uniform(including long pants, boots and gun belts) checking anglers and boaters while they are in shorts, relaxing and consuming cold beverages. Tomorrow I don't have anything planned besides more work(probably routine patrol). I might take Monday off though.

And Kevin, mine is not time and a half. :(

Everyone have a safe and fun weekend. :)

LOL....oh, I Know about that...there are a lot of people who sail boat here on the lakes, they don't get moving too fast.....still fun tho!

Ranger.....you mean they don't let you wear shorts in the summer?! Bummer!

Not much of anything, maybe a horse show tomorrow, we'll see. Have to have oral surgery on Tues. I'm a nervous wreck, I wish they could have done it the same day she ordered it because having to think about it is giving me panic attacks. The first anti biotics she gave me gave me an allergic reaction, we changed them and the new ones made me really sick so I stopped all of them. Now I'm nervous I'll die of some infection but I can't stand how I feel when taking anti biotics. I'm still shaky and weak today from the horrible 3 days before, hopefully tomorrow I'll feel OK to go to the show, we like to take the puppy so she gets used to things.

We HOPE to take her to VT before winter but need to do some trial runs to my parent's house first. The horse shows are just to get her used to going places and being around people. She loves the horses and she's getting used to strangers so that's good, next step is visiting a strange house then hopefully a rental house in VT, that's if I survive the dental surgery, I'm really scared I'm not going to come through it, I've always had a fear of being put under. This really isn't a good weekend with that hanging over my head.

Oh gosh, oral surgery......I hate being put under too and I always worry about not coming back out of it too, but these days things are so state of the art it will go very well for you. But I know what you mean, I had to get a tooth pulled several years ago and just that alone made me very nervous.....but in the end my imagination was way worse than the actual procedure. Those antibiotics can really knock you for a loop, I have had a few make me really ill......I hope you feel better.

Thank you, everyone tells me it's worse to think about than actually go through but my imagination is going wild! I've had teeth out the regular way and all was fine but it's the knocked out part that is so scary. My dentist assures me they will moniter everything and all will be well. I hope she's right, I'm allergic to so much I worry I'm allergic to the stuff they'll give me. I do worry as you can tell! Anti biotics knock me flat and it seems I get allergic to more and more of them as I get older, sometimes I can take one and it doesn't bother me but if I try it again I have a bad reaction, that's what happened with the second ones she gave me, I had them before and tolerated them that's why I said it would be OK to try them again....WRONG. I always dread when they tell me I need to take them.
