I know the basic of basics here!! I need your help & quick. I just bout a printer, (rather nice one at that.. hee hee) and I'm wanting to print a power point presentation off the web, posted by a teacher of mine. The problem: It will print it one slide on one page & I don't want that. I want at least 3 slides to one page. I've tried a million things, I thought would work with no such luck. If I open up the link that she posted for the power point it goes right into the power point with no tool bar at top to select to print. If I right click on the open power point presentation I can select print from there but then it will print 1 slide on 1 page at a time. (again don't want that, that's 30 pages!!!) I tried to save the power point in my computer but it saves as a presentation & when I go to open it up, low & behold it starts the presentation with no tool bars present to print from... HMmffffff I know theres a way to do it but I can't figure it out. I'm sure it's easy as pie & I'll feel stupid when you all "walk" me through it.... but please help!!!

Thanks.... **hugs to whoever helps me in my horrid situation. LOL... in the mean time I'll go ride my horsie!!

Thanks all.

Let see if this works:

1 print
2 when window pops up
3 look for option for hand outs (this should be where to go to for choosing how many slides per page)
(i.e. on the HP it is on the bottom right of the window)

That was what my hubby found. Good luck.

When you hit print, you know how theres a menu? thers a drop down bar click handout, then slides per page, then lcick hte number you want. Let me check on my computer. Crurently I'm on a laptop that doesn'thave powerpoint!

Sounds like it's saved as a Power Point Show, which is running independent of Powerpoint. When you click it, you're not opening PP at all, just the show.

You need to save the show to your computer - then open PP, then use PP to open the show. From there you can select various formats for printing it.

It means you can't open it in an editable form to print it like you want.... you need PP to do that.
