I'm pretty sure most of you know I worked as a camp wrangler over the summer. It was a blast...met some of the nicest people in the world! We had a small staff of 10. 4 had camp on the "farm side" of the street, so that left 6 staff, 2 CITS (councelors in training), and 1 WIT (wrangler in training) on the "camp side". Every night we would stay up late in the pavillion, laugh, joke around, and just hang out. It was perfect. :)

Well I really clicked with one of the guy councelors. We're both HUGE White Sox fans so most days we'd spend our breaks crashed around the pavillion listening to the game on the radio, or out around town trying to find food other than the chicken nuggets and fish sticks camp diet. We spent a lot of time together and he really makes me laugh. Yeah, I'll admit I started to crush on him. :o The only dilemma in my eyes, is that he's three years older than me, putting him at 21, while I'm 18. He's a senior at a university about an hour and a half from my house, and I'm a freshman 5 1/2 hours from home.

So during every camp session, we get one night a week off to go home, spend some time doing what we want for once, and are expected to be back and ready to go by breakfast the next morning. During 2nd session, we both had the same night off and he asked me to go to a baseball game with him. Oh man, I really wanted to go but I had prior commitments and had to be home. No go, very disappointing.

I am also very close with one of my WITS. She's quickly become one of my best friends. Well I guess this councelor might have had a thing for her too. Word got out of a secret minigolfing trip between the 2 of them. Not a big deal, but you know how rumors go! ;)

And so I guess this is where the oppinion part comes in. I really like him. We still talk every day, even though camp's over and none of the staff has seen eachother in about a month. I don't know what to do. I'm no good at this boy stuff! I like him, but I don't want to make things awkward if he doesn't like me the same way. We're similar people, but he's 3 years older. Comments? Advice? Anything? :p

Major cookies to whoever reads my rambling story! :)

Not phone calls (lol I rarely make phone calls), but texting and facebook chat. :o I'd say it's about 50/50 on who starts conversation.

The 3 year age difference is no big deal, you're both adults. Have fun & enjoy your relationship. He will make the first move if he wants more. Remember that college is hard & time consuming so don't feel bad if things don't progress as you may like.
Keep your other options open though.

I guess I'm also concerned with becoming "one of the guys", which I don't really want to be. I love baseball and football, but I don't want everything to revolve around that!

Take it one day at a time. you don't want to scare him off. If it is meant to be then it will happen. You never know.. you can start as friends and end up more.
