We went to the first of a local series of open shows to get the babies used to everything. I'm waiting on the CD we ordered, but have some pics from the show and our placings. Twister cleaned house. Placing 3rd out of 15 mares (all ages)!! My co trainer showed and two of my students. Little Pearl even placed first over a full grown QH for confo. It was a great show.

My dream team did AMAZING today at mims. Despite a rain out, we got through tons of halter, showmanship and HUS classes.

In halter, we cleaned up.

Weanlings & Yearlings all sexes..

Gunner Placed first

The paint filly from Down Under Colour second. Opie Third. Pearl 4th and a yearling mare 5th.

Pearl had impeccable manners for a 2 month old. I could have sold her 50 times over. But we're keeping her. Opie was a jerk at first but settled down.. reminds me of his sister way back when. lol. 5 in the class. I was so proud of taylor and Shelby. They placed well and Pearl is going to be a nice filly. I wish she'd get taller lol.

Opies first show...had to drag him half way across the ring... oh.. takes me back to the days of training his sister. He still placed 3rd out of 5. So I'm proud of him.

Little pearl and Shelby did AMAZING. Pearls confo got her a 4 out of 5 at two months AND butt high. She's going to be a nice nice mare.

2 yr old twister placed 3rd out of I believe FIFTEEN horses in Sr handler Mares (all ages). She was beautiful and amazing today. Her brother will follow in her footsteps I hope.

She had some REALLY beautiful competition. Taylor handled here beautifully.

Sadly, but neccessarilly, Twister went home to her breeder to rest until she's closer to 3 to begin competing in IBHA in October for world 2010. Under Taylor and I, and then hopefully with a new owner soon. It's going to take some time getting used to her not being there everyday. But it's only a month.

Little Pearl beat a full grown QH mare in jr handler halter! Putting her in Grand and Reserve. Non of mine made grand or reserve. But making it there is just as good!

Gunner 1st out of 5 weanlings and yearlings (he's 4 mos old).

The oldest horse in the class was almost 2.. and was the worst behaved and placed 5th..then got lectured on her handling and manners.. The filly was rearing, throwing herself all over her handler and had a stud chain.

Me and Bobby with Brother and Sister, together for the first time showing off their placings. Both happened to place the same. Twister just had more competition.

2 year old Twister was the youngest in all the HUS classes and placed in most of the classes. The judge really liked her.

If I can remember right....

Overall placings were

weanlings/yearlings (5 entries)
Barons Mister Behaven (1)
Code Red Commander (3)
Badlands Turtle Blues (4)

Jr Handler Mares (2 entries)
Pearl aka Badlands Turtle Blues (1)

Sr Handler mares (13-15 entries)
Twister aka Lady Jag Commander (3)

The showmanship went REALLY fast...

So I'll update that later on. But Taylor placed in all classes between 1st and 4th in each class against no less than 6 competitors.

Shelby Placed also in showmanship.

HUS/Hunter Hack

Twister (2), (3), (5), (6), (6)

Jazzmine & Jen (1), (2), (2), (3), (6)

We ordered the CD for the WHOLE show plus we have friends with pics and video. I will do full updates to show the class sizes etc. The pro CD should show up by Friday.

Wow! Congratulations!

What show series is this? I want to get Bull out to experience the big, wide world- he could definitley do some in hand classes and maybe some Western Pleasure (W/T- still working on a solid C, lol!)

P.S.- I drove through Christmas Saturday and ate at the school bus by the big Gator and thought of you and Dena.

Thanks!

I just love her... she is a great mover with a great personality. The judge couldn't get over her manners to be a 2 mos old weanling. I told him it's because she was raised in a living room lol

OH NO YOU DIDNT!!!!!! We are literally 2 min from there (our farm). I'm pming you NOW with out number so next time you can come see the brat pack and Dena in person!

It's North Brevard Horsemans Club. We probably wont do the whole series due to date conflicts with other shows. But Opie needs to learn manners BEFORE IBHA in October. Little $%^#$^#$^#^#%^.:mad::p

Lol!! :) I didn't realize you were that close!! I'd love to see you and the gang, I got your PM, thanks!

I ride with a friend of mine with a TB/Cleveland Bay cross- we both have horses that haven't had a chance to get out and do things, and are starting to take them out. We are doing a trail ride at Sawgrass this Saturday, and she mentioned about some shows at Cora..?/something this fall.
