So, I've been wanting to get a good cocktail wiener recipe. I always have them at potluck's and wonder how they make them. So, does anyone have a good recipe?? I like the ones that have little bit of a BBQ flavor to them. I know it's not actual BBQ sauce, cause it's not exactly the same flavor. I googled it and they want me to use mustard and strawberry jam. That just doesn't make sense...

So, I was hoping one of the mom's on here would have a good recipe that I could try. :D

Thanks in advance.

I love those little cocktail wienies too...... a friend of mine used to make them and they were so tasty,
I think he used grape jelly and some kind of BBQ sauce.

I'll be curious to find out what everyone uses to make them as I have always wondered myself!

Are you talking the Lil" Smokies? I have a great one for those.
1 pkg of Smokies
1 pkg of bacon
cut bacon strips into 3rd's and wrap each smokie
lay of broiler pan, sprinke brown sugar over all
broil on high form abt 15 minutes, turning once to cook bacon to desired crispness
use toothpicks to serve

I add one jar of grape jelly and one jar of Heinz chili sauce to a slow cooker, add the cocktail weiners and let simmer until done. My family loves these.

I also take canned biscuits, cut them in half and wrap it around a smokie, bake for approximately eight to ten minutes (just watch the first batch to see how long till they brown) serve with different mustards or sauces.

Quick and easy and oh so good :)

i have a fast breakfast recipe. not what you're looking for but i figured i'd share - it's pretty good. i use the pre-made cressent rolls (i buy butterflake) place one beef smokie and a little bit of cheddar cheese on each triangle, roll and bake.

This is the one my mom used and I use it and everyone loves it. One jar of brown mustard and on jar of red current jelly. Mix together and heat in a saucepan until it all kind of melts together then and add the weiners.
Sounds gross and looks gross until it all melts together but tastes so good.

This is the original that was given to me years ago. I think it would be fun to try some of the others, just to see what I liked best.

I invited Farmers_wife and her family over tentatively for a weekend dinner in a week or two. I am planning to make chili, but wanted an appetizer. I think they are going to get to try one of these recipes with me. :D Lucky them, huh?

Yeah, I know that Faith is going to hate it. :p That way if she hates the main course she can pretend to eat, but skip it if she has too.
