Looky what momma bought Tex!!

So, I was on the way home from work and saw this place Ive been meaning to check out.
It is a doggy store/daycare/boarding/grooming facility. Very cool place and very cool prices on boarding/daycare and some of their clothing.
So I walked around, talked to the owner while I was looking, and was about ready to leave when my eyes about popped out of my head..lol.
No, it cant be 9.99, thats a 40 or 50 dollar coat. Yup, sure enough. See, this lady buys all the closeouts from the other stores so they can move on to the next season. Pretty smart hu? Ya buddy...lol
So I snatch up this coat for 9.99 n tax and came home to show you pics.
Bob said I would and I said oh heck ya, you know it...

You got a good deal too! He seems to enjoy having his picture taken. He's so photogenic.

I'm thinking of getting a Halloween costume for Puppy. Noah liked hats or antlers or bunny ears but not clothes. I think puppy needs to get used to clothes, I wanted to get her the cutest dress but my man said NO!!!! I don't know if she'll need a coat or not, my other Westie never had one, I don't know what to do, if she's cold maybe she won't want to spend so much time outside since I know I won't want to be spending hours outside with her like I do now, if I make her too comfortable she won't want to come in and I'll be out there freezing! The snow is another issue, Noah just jumped through it, he was big, we'll have to shovel deep snow for her. It's so strange having a different dog, it's been since May and I still can't get used to not having Noah. Anyway Tex looks too cute. Extra hugs to him!

I know folks, I think it was a great buy and looks adorable on him.

It is like a coat, so it has 2 arms and where you and I would have a zipper, he has velcro.
So on one leg, over his body, then his next leg goes through and velcro it shut.
I have to put the hood back cause it covers his eyes..LOL...
He better not grow any more. Its a large and just fits him. Id have to go back and find an XL next time.

Yup, he wears a large, just wears it. He grows at all even 1/2 an inch and that coat wont fit him any more...LOL. Hes bigger than he looks in pictures.
I would call him a Standard Schnauzer.
He stands just shy 17 1/2 inches at his shoulder
and from side of hip to side of chest, he stands just a hair over 19 inches
he is 22 1/2 inches around at his barrel.

his tongue is fast and furious...LMBO
his eyes constant and loving
his front legs are always hugging(yes, he wraps them around my neck)
his ears always listening
and his bark always on the watch
his noise is a mmmm, and uses it often(thats his momma I want sound, weather it be a pet or to go potty or to wake me)its so cute
He is a very sweet boy, even when he is in trouble.

He loves to have his collar on, his bandanna, clothes, what ever.
He will even hold his leash when its on. LOL

I love Tex! I wish we were closer so he could have play dates with Deanna. I think they'd be great friends. She is OK getting different collars and harnesses on [She has bunches since I want her to look cute]. Noah used to love wearing things on his head. I haven't tried the antlers on her yet! I did put the Christmas thing with bells on her and she was OK with that, Noah was scared of the bells! I want to get a cute picture of her for Christmas cards maybe with that bell thing on or the coat. She doesn't pose nice like Tex though, she seems to be in constant motion, only pictures I can get are when she lays down to rest, I don't have any of her just standing nice or sitting nice. I need a nice picture and probably won't get it. Tex is the bestest poser. He is just too cute every time I see him I smile, I am so happy you both have each other.

I love that little coat on Tex, I went looking for coats for her, I don't know if she'll need one or not, my other Westie didn't have one and loved the snow, never got cold. Noah never had one. She probably won't need one either but I saw one and had to order it [I saw a leopard print one I was going to get, it had a hood but it was coming from Hong Kong so I didn't bother with it. Actually the coat was my man's idea awhile back he said he thought she would probably need a coat AND boots because she's not as tough as Noah, honestly I think she's tougher, she's a terrier. I can see her loving the snow and never wanting to come in the house, that's how Mandy was. Noah loved the snow but hated the cold he'd go out and come right back in! He didn't waste time out there.], problem is I am not sure if it'll fit, they didn't give great sizing info but said to measure from the neck to base of tail and when I did the size I came up with is Large, she's 18" from neck to tail now and the large was 18-20"! She's only a small dog and I was going to get a M but one lady said the M just fits her 18 lb Cairn, I think Deanna weighs more than 18 lbs or will when she's full grown so I got the L. I might have to send it back but I thought it looked cute on the Westie model [Deanna won't be trimmed up like this, I like the Wild Westie look better than the real Westie cut] so it'll look cute on her. I don't think it'll really be warm though. The stable dogs have warm coats, one of them needs to have it put on her every day because she gets cold, she'll shiver and as soon as the coat goes on her she will be OK. One day she came to the barn and was cold and I asked my friend's son where her coat was he said "She left home without it". That cracked me up, I told him she doesn't know to ask for it so he has to make sure she has it on before she leaves the house. She loves that coat. If it gets real cold that's the kind Deanna should have. I have to check their tack shop to see if they have anything small, I think they mostly have them for big dogs. Anyway here is Deanna's new coat, well we don't have it yet but this will be it:

Grady has a leather bomber jacket. He loves it. He acts so proud when he wears it. LOL ! Almost forgot he just got a Ohio State Jersey he wears when watching the game with dad. LOL !!

He seems like he's always saying "Take my picture Mommy, I look so cute"! Noah would pose, he'd see the camera and either sit up straight or he'd lay and look right in the camera but with her I can't get a real nice picture because she won't stay still long enough. I can't look at pictures of Noah yet but I have a few where I put him in front of the Christmas tree and told him to pose and he sat as nice and straight and looked at the camera, they would have made great Christmas cards. My other Westie loved her picture taken too, if she saw the camera she'd pose. Hopefully Puppy will when she gets older and hopefully settles down some!

Yeah no more frozen tushy in the winter while he's out pottying!!!!! I love it!!! GREAT BUY!!!
