Basically he said he hates my horse in front of me...he said he hates how i gripe when im hurt and i got hurt once lately and havent said much since then and he didnt even really help me or anything when i hurt my ankle...so basically i chose my horse over a guy...I have always said my horse will choose who I marry!

Sounds like a jerk anyway. If your hurt, no matter if its a horse or not, he should stand by you.
Glad your free of that one.
((HUGS)) you'll do fine hon.

You go girl!! The horse always knows best.
I've always told my friends that if I ever find a guy as perfect and cute as my horse....then I might get a boyfriend. So far that hasn't happened, Talent has upped my standards too much.:p

the guy wasn't worth the time of your day! what a jerk. i could never be with someone who doesn't like animals. he obviously didn't love you.
when i hurt myself my husband seems to take it worse than i do.
experiencing few jerks makes you stronger and viser though. it will also be easier to realize you met the "one" when it happens.

Good for you.. If he doesn't support your love then he isn't worth the time of day. Someone who loves you will love your horse too.

It's always better to have the whole horse rather than JUST the rear end!

Sounds like you made the right decision....
My husband does not like animals like I do and he really struggled after we were married with the fact that Rashad was my best friend, my closest confident and a HUGE part of who I was. He still struggles a little bit. Mostly because he's jealous of my passion for Rashad. It's pretty normal for guys to be jealous of their "girl" being totally obsessed with someone who isn't them. I have tried my best to put my husband above my horse and in exchange he's tried to support expenses and time spend on Rashad.

Kudos to you! :) I left my ex-husband because he wanted me to sell Cooper! I guess he shouldn't of said its me or Cooper!:nono: Sorry guys but the horse will always win in my case! My hubby now understand the need for my horse and all my critter kids and loves each and every one of them. You will find the same out there, just give it time!

What a class one jerk. You made the right decision.
Haha. Good for you. I'm not going to say I wouldn't give up horses for a guy, but it would have to be one first class guy, and it would have to be a very compelling reason. And a guy who complains that you whine when you get hurt doesn't quite meet the cut.

You made the right decision, he would have turned into a control freak, you could never come home & share your joy with doing something with your horse, you'd have to sneak around his schedule to spend time with your horse, all kinds of things that would make you unhappy. His lack of compassion when you were hurt was a big red flag too.
A partner does not have to share your passion but he should understand & support your need for it. He should want you to be happy.
I would NEVER give up my horses for ANY man (well, maybe for a few hours).
There are men out there who share your passion for horses.

Thank guys! I'm happier for sure! My horse is always there for me when a guy isn't!
