Going to Mexico on Saturday

No LOA for you!! And no brownies either!!! :p :D :rolleyes: (Don't worry no one would dare break into my house while I'm gone. We don't have anything of value and we have neighbors who would bring down fire and brimstone on anyone stupid enough to rob/steal in our neighborhood. :rant: They are crazy protective. :D)

I did just want to let everyone know we're off to Mexico on Saturday. We're going to Playa del Carmen. Don't worry I'm bringing 3 cameras. 1 underwater camera, 1 disposable camera and 1 digital camera.

Don't get jealous too quickly though. This is our FIRST real vacation since our honeymoon 5 years ago. It's only a 4 day trip, but it will be plenty long for us.

Any tips for traveling in that area would be welcome! :)

Oh you are going to love it! One of my best friends went to Playa del Carmen a few years ago and she loved it there! Beautiful place.

That is a good tip! We did buy some immodium just in case. :p I went to South America a few years back and we were visiting one of the town's elders. Well, he offered us some lemonade...:doh::o:rolleyes: He was sooo poor it would have been rude to refuse his hospitality. So, we all drank what was offered. Everyone, but me got sick. :D Anyways, learned a lesson on that trip. Always bring the anti-diarrhea!!!

Oh, we've heard about it... I guess the "nude beaches" are north of the cruise ship dock. I hope we don't see any. That is just GROSS.

Sounds like a well deserved vacation. I have never been to Mexico I have heard not to drink the water...Have a great time and take lots of pictures!

Whenever I go to Mexico, I never eat any salad with lettuce, just because they wash it in their water, which you shouldn't drink, so If you don't have to eat any lettuce, don't. And bring LOTS of sunscreen. I got so badly burnt when I was in Mexico, that I had to stay in my room for an entire day because it hurt so much to move. Have fun!!!!

Only time I was in Mexico was when I was a kid and we went to Tijuana, but I wouldn't exactly call that fun.....LOL. It was a nasty dirty scary place. :( I'd love to go some place like Playa del Carmen and walk on the beach and lounge by the pool all day, do some sight seeing.....from the pictures I've seen it's gorgeous there and the water and the beaches are to die for.

Well, I'm in jet stream mode today!! Got so much to do!! I might not be getting on the forum much today. I will do the 9-1-1 thing, but I'll be working most of the day other than that. I can't believe how nervous I am about flying and going out of the country. :doh:
