Just got in from a great sunset ride with my husband!

What a perfect end to a great day! Hubby and I decided to saddle up the horses and head out. My mother in law watched the children and we left Reno in the 100% horse safe pasture with the fence ON. He wasn't too happy to be left alone now that they are all buddy buddy. Norman and Booty didn't really want to leave him either.

But we headed out and went through the fields and across the road to hubby's grandma's land and into the woods. It was so nice out! NO BUGS, no wind, not too hot... PERFECT!! The horses did great. I rode Norman and I swear that horse is my soul mate. We just plodded along and I was so RELAXED it was just so nice.

Hubby was on Booty and even though he complained that it wasn't "his horse" starting out, they really are a good pair and did great together.

We got to watch the sun go down, take some trails we hadn't before and ended up back home where Reno had settled down and was just waiting for our return.

I, of course, am sore now. LOL. Norman needs a new saddle as soon as we can afford a nice one - his is very old and not comfy.

No pictures, although I did tell hubby when we were out, "I should have brought my camera so I could take pictures for the forum." It was so pretty when some light fog rolled in...

It was a really a gorgeous evening, I took the dogs out in the yard about an hour before the sun went down and thought what a perfect night, the weather was great for a ride!

Glad to hear you had a good ride with your horses and Hubby. Sure feels good when it all come together. Too bad you forgot your camera.. Next time you better bring it! Our weather here was crappy. Cold damp and rain all day.

LOL @ you two! It was funny when I called my MIL to ask if she would watch the kids she asked what we were going to do and I said, "we wanted to go for a horseback ride together" and she's like, "oooh la la!"

Awkward to have that come from your mother in law, but it was funny.

I will try to take pictures tomorrow. My mom is watching our kids overnight (for the 2nd time ever - they wanted to go fishing on her lake) so hubby and I are talking about another ride.

LOL! my hubby's cousin is pregnant and she was up here visiting and a guy friend of my MIL's told her she had been "bitten pretty good by the trouser snake"

Peter pickled would embarrass me. My MIL cracks me up but some stuff she says still makes me want to say, "Umm... hi. I am married to your SON.... please don't talk like this!!"

We went for a sunset ride as well here:cowboy:..... It was a nice way to end the day. We went with a friend thou. We got another sunny day coming!! It has been cool and after the 4" rain we got last week, it is a welcome change:)

Sounds like a romantic ride. :) Are weather here in Southern Ohio has been beautiful lately. My son and I rode around here last night. Tomorrow we are going to haul the horses to a trail we just learned of. It is free to ride there unlike where we usually go. I hope it is nice I like the free part. :)

That sounds so wonderful. It is good to be with the hubby like that.

When Buck gets all well, Steve promises we will go out on our Grays!! Finally the weather is nice here and Buck has had Bow Tendonitis and also blew out an abcess ...all on the right front.
