You'd know and understand why this picture means so much to me.

Yes, I rode him. And yes, he was real.:cowboy:
He bucked, crow hopped(sp), flung his head, walked, trotted, and cantered. I got a flying lead change, a beautiful side pass, and lots of backing up in too.
And one for the heck of it:
Three boys out in the morning.
(L to R) Rocky, Buddy, and Warrior. They are getting fuzzy!

Yeah, he's a handful, but it was fun :) The owner said he'd never seen him behave like that for someone he just met. He added what a natural seat I have and how much control I had over him (Even in the "stressful" situations. My trainers son was "learning" to ride him... I hopped on for the heck of it and showed him up needlesstosay :) He thought he knew everything when it came to riding... I quickly shoved that back down this throat.

I'll fill you in :)
In 2005, I had a tragic riding accident and have stopped riding since. I sold my 4 year old in December and got into Minis in January of 2006. Over the summer, I rode my aunts horse, it was nice, but the spark just wasn't there like it used to be. Yesterday, I rode Bullet and the only thing that gets my heart racing is the bucking :) I'm a thrill seeker. When I had full sized horses, I would ride bareback 24/7, like iheart, just so I could feel the raw power of the animal under me. Silly, I know:rolleyes:

Nice to know I'm not the only one ;)
When I used to have lessons I'd hope to be on this one horse that always, without fail, bucked and/or bolted :D More excitement and it keeps you focused :)
I love bareback but on Sam with his very-nearly-verticle bucks it isn't such a good idea ;) I've stayed on for a few those rounds bareback and with a english saddle .

Thanks guys :) It means a lot.
Country - That was before I clipped his head :) For the show on Sunday, he needs to be looking his best, even though he will be going in FAT, FURRY, and totally unfit.

Congrats Primetime! I agree bareback is much better then in the saddle. Specially if you have the "perfect" horse for bareback. My Arab ~ perfect 4 bareback. My TB~ NOT SO good! LOL.

I hear ya'! My little Appy was amazzzing. I could do ANYTHING with that horse. I used to play "spy" (going under, between, around, over, etc) with him, tag, etc. My friends and I would try different ways to mount up bareback and we would use him :) Just drop the reins in the area and he would stand still. We would also try different dismounts (like back flips, sliding off the butt, etc). Anything I asked of him, he would do. He trusted me and I trusted him..
Man, I sure do miss that horse :cry::cry:

Thats a great story and a great way to get back in the saddle. Not only to have some fun but to show up the Son and bring him back down to Earth! Everyone needs to be brought back down to Earth every once in a while and by a lady that hasn't ridden in a long time, that's just priceless!! I bet he will be working on his ridding more now that he knows he has plenty more to learn :)
Congrats to you for getting back in the saddle. Looks like you haven't lost a beat and had fun with it!

While riding my wonderful Appy Ranger, he had a massive heart attack and collapsed. I watched him die while he gasped for air and nudged my face, and me being 12, I was helpless. Worst experienceof my life...
