I hate it when it starts getting dark earlier. By the time I get out of class or off work its dark and I dont get to ride nearly as much. Today was probably one of my last pretty days to ride for a while so I took advantage. All the leaves are falling off and everything is getting ugly so I figured I should take some pictures while it was still a little colorful.. ugh i hate dead winter. Decided to share some pictures.

I wish I could've gotten in a ride - glad somebody is! I'm in the same boat...darn sun going down so soon! Thanks for sharing - I really like the 3rd to last pic!

I love your pictures and your horse is beautiful. I am in up state NY so my weather sucks here too. I hate winter too. Did not get to ride today the trails are very muddy from all the rain. Too many hunters out there in the woods now too.. and I have a cold:sick:

Least you get to ride!
I haven't rode in like 7 months! Going to have this baby here in 3 weeks ... I "plan" on my first ride being New Year's Eve on my boy Rudy. I don't care if we only walk around for 5 minutes, I MUST have that feeling again!

This is the season I miss riding the most ... fall is perfect, less bugs, no heat, horses are full of steam ... LUB IT! :cowboy:

Too many hunters out there in the woods now too.. and I have a cold:sick:

Aww I'm sorry you have a cold! Yeah I know what you mean about the hunters I cant ride on the trails during hunting season its just not safe. A hunter actually shot and killed my pony when I was five so I have a terrible fear hunting season. My horses stay in the barn at night and in the riding ring with their bright purple and pink blankets on during the day. I'm so scared I worry all the time. :(

Thanks everybody! I actually took these pictures myself with my camera up on a fence post and a timer set on it. LOL I would have to trot over to the fence post push the button real quick then turn around and trot back into place and get him set him for the picture within like 6 seconds so its a miracle I got any at all.

They're calling for a mix of snow and rain here later on today:doh:.
I don't mind snow in December and January, but after that I get tired of it. But I actually think winter can be really pretty, especially after a fresh snow when it's laying like a blanket over all the trees and the fences.:)

Czar is so beautiful..I am glad you decided to keep Czar. I know what you all mean UGH !! winter is here in Southern Ohio..Fall went way to fast this year.

Thanks everyone.. it is actually starting to rain a little bit outside now which means snow is coming probably because its getting mighty chilly.

Thank You! He was well behaved.. he humored me for the most part but I could just see it on his face like he was totally confused about the whole process of back and forth and close enough to the fence to push the button without getting off. I'm sure if you had been watching from a far it would have been comical! :eek:

And he is a registered Friesian Sporthorse (half friesian)

I must be crazy. I LOVE winter. It's my favorite season.Then again NOTHING except sleet and ice can stop me from riding. Today was freezing and windy and I was the only one out there running around bareback like an idiot. :rolleyes: I think I'm cold proof. Really. I get hot and sweaty when it's 50 degrees out and I refuse to wear a jacket. I love horses in the winter, when they're all poofy and furry. :) Not to mention I LOVE Christmas time. :D Hot chocolate, fires, snow, smores, Christmas lights. :innocent:

I feel for you I hate the winter! By the time I get out of swim practice its 4:30 and when I get to the barn I have MAYBE an hour thats including groundwork and everything.

Thank you! I know.. I like the burgundy I really do but it seems so simple I am still deciding if I am going to change it or not I really just wanted something bright and not as usual but I havent made up my mind yet for now its burgundy.

I was just thinking the same thing, this week may be our last chance to get outdoors while the temps are still halfway decent.....I hate winter, the days are too short and it gets too cold (especially up here).

I just love your horse, he is so incredibly gorgeous. What is the other half? You sure can tell he's Friesian!

Thank you! His sire is Raven a Friesian stallion and his dam is a Tennessee Walking Horse mare. It wouldnt have been a cross that I would have thought of but when I saw her I understood why they did it.. She is so gorgeous perfect conformation dainty beautiful head and the best personality. She was shown trail pleasure racking and even had a state championship in the juvenile division. I thought it was a little strange combination but I am happy with him he doesnt have much TWH look to him mostly what he got from them I think is his mild manners and trainability but I have heard Friesians are much the same so who knows?? He is a nice dressage prospect and maybe even Saddleseat.

I think a pale green would look simply ahmazin' on him, just saying, hehe. =D
