Yay! My fiance and I finally set a wedding date! I never realized how nervous that would make me! Anyway February 28th is the date. I never thought it would be that soon either . So now I'm panicing to get my dress made, wedding hall reserved, buy a ring for J... I'm more jittery about the wedding than actually being married!

Thanks everyone! Its a lot sooner than we were originally planning. When we first decided to get married we were planning for next christmas, but we were talking over the weekend and decided to speed things up a little!

Here's the wedding dress, except in sapphire blue.

oooh pretty dress!

when I was planning my wedding i went to www.theknot.com (http://www.theknot.com) and they have checklists, ideas, forums, etc. it really helped me out a ton! I have a great father daughter dance song if you can't think of one if you are doing it.

Thanks for the link! That will definately come in handy!

Fortunately both me and J. are in agreement about a simple wedding. We are going to forgo a formal reception and just have an open house immediately following the ceremony (hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and ice cream... neither of us like cake). We are renting a reception hall though mainly since I'm not into decorating and we are getting married in the middle of the semester . There is a cape I'm getting along with the dress, I'll have to see if I can find it...

We do have to have 3 open houses. The one here in NE (right after the ceremony) one in Utah (where J. is from), and one in MN (where I'm from). The other 2 won't be happening until the semester is over though... I hate traveling in the winter.

Our main expenses are going to be my dress, the reception hall, and the honeymoon.

We are going on a cruise to the Mexican Riviara. That's my parents wedding present. They are actually going to be on the same boat (theirs was already planned before wedding came up) and offered to get another cabin on it for us. Us being poor graduate students aren't arguing!;)
