Hard decision. RIP Miss Kitty

For quite some time, I have know that this day was coming. Miss Kitty had been with us for 14 years. She was a stray adult cat when she chose us to be her family, so I don't really know how old she was. During the past year, she has been losing weight and went from a very fat cat to a very skinny cat, so we knew that her time with us was growing short. I had hoped that she would just pass in her sleep, but that didn't happen. She was starting to get weak. On Friday, she urinated in the living room floor and in the process of cleaning that up, I found some kitty poop in the floor, too. I took that as a sign that she was telling me, it was time. I took her to the vet on Saturday and had her euthanized. That was a hard decision that I didn't want to make, but I know that it was better than watching her suffer.

I never saw her try to catch the fish, but she always drank out of the goldfish bowl.

I'm very sorry. It's hard to see them get old on us, I know. I hope you have peace with her long life and that she was loved in it. That's really all any of us can hope for.

I'm very sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful kitty. No matter how old they are it's hard to loose them and it seems they never just go in their sleep, we have to do what is the right thing for them but the hardest thing for us.

Its hard when our babies grow old, and we have to make the decision. Im glad you could be there with her.
