I know I said the deadline was the 12th, but I'm still working on the video (I promise it will be done by Christmas though!:D) so if any later-comers want to ad a pic, you can.:D

Well I know this was attempted once before on the horse.com forum, but due to some technical difficulties it never quite worked out. But I'd like to try it again.

I want to make a video of the Baywind Farm Forum members and their horses. It will probably be too long for youtube (which has a ten minute time limit) but I have a few other places I can upload it too. I know I'm not great at making videos (my editing skillz could use some work:rolleyes:) but I'd like to do this. It's going to be my Christmas present to my forum friends. xD

So, if everyone likes the idea, here's the deal:


*I want your favorite pictures of you and your horse(s). You can post one picture of each horse/pony/mini you own- so if you have 3 horses you can post 3 pics, one of each of them. If you want to post a few more then that you can, and if I still have room in the video I may use more then one each. But I can only promise that one picture of each horse + owner will be in the video (with one exception- see below).
Please note: if you make your living with horses (or something like that) and have many that you are training to sell/project horses etc. I may not be able to put pics of every one in the vid. (Like if you have more than 6-7 horses it could get difficult and take up a lot of room). But I'll do my best, and if you have a problem with that rule pm me or post here and i'll see what I can do fit them all in.:)

Also, please have the pics be 320 x 240 or larger. The really tiny ones are harder to work with. Post the pics on this thread. :)

*If you don't own a horse, but ride a lesson horse or lease, you can still post pics as long as it's ok with the owner.:)

*I would like to have short video clips in this video too. I am not completely sure how to save people's video clips to my computer though, so maybe somebody who knows how could enlighten me? But if it is doable here is what I need for the video clips:
Once again I'm not sure how much room I will have, so I can't make promises that I will use everyone's footage. I won't be playing favorites; I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings by not using their clip, it will just depend on what works best in the video.
The video clips should be brief (like under 00:30) , and fairly good quality and preferably zoomed in so they're not too far away. It can be a clip of your horses running in the pasture, you riding, or bonding with your horses. Pretty much whatever, I'll leave that up to you. Just something special that means something to you.:)

*Please post your name and your horse's name with each picture. I haven't decided yet if we should use our real first names or just go by our usernames. What do you guys think?

*The other thing is what songs to use. I'll need at least two, and maybe more. There may even be a Part 1 and Part 2, depending on how long it ends up being. I may choose the songs myself, but if anybody has any suggestions I'm glad to hear them!:D

And for a song - I vote we have one 'classic rock' song. Preferably 'Free Bird' ;) The full version of that is about 10 mins long but you can get cropped versions.

Also, I can help with getting any/all music for the video(s).

Yep :D A little firefox add-on that I've been working on in programming class. :rolleyes: If you just send me links I'll download them, convert to .avi (they download in .flv, which WMM hates ;)) and email them to you :)

I know it's a romantic song, but it sounds kind of like our forum relationship sometimes. Not romantic, but ALWAYS steady and available: 18 until I die by Bryan Adams
