Well today, finally after all the procrastination I did, went pumpkin picking with my dad because my family has a pumpkin carving contest every year.
And I tell ya he was putting so much blame on me because I waited so long and now there won't be any pumpkins to chose from and they will all be rotted and yadda yadda.
Wellllll haha I searched around here for little farmers and they weren't really around anymore and I sure as heck didn't want to buy from walmart. So we went out a bit aways to a now big farm because they did well for themselves, yet still pretty much the little farmer, if that makes sense. (I like supporting the independent farmer)
Anyway, we were searching for pumpkins and my dad says well I hope you learned your lesson about searching last minute for pumpkins (some weren't soo pretty what do ya expect? lol)
We found our pumpkins and checked out and not only did the lady give us 10% off but we got a free watermelon (16 pounder!) lol annnnddd as we were leaving one of the guys was helping us load the pumpkins and thought this huge one was ours, we said no he said oh well do you want to take it anyway?
LOL! The free pumpkin is around 45 or so lbs!
So we got 10% off, a free watermelon, and a free BIG pumpkin.
As we pulled into the driveway I sarcastically asked my dad 'so did ya learn your lesson today?'

I'm off to pack treat bags for the contest! woohoo! Hope ya got a laugh!
