Well, I have decided on getting a camera instead of a saddle, hehe. A saddle is nice, but I think I would like a camera more, lol. Plus, my mom said she could maybe get me the saddle before Summer 2009, when I do most of mah riding. So, I am debating between the Nikon D40, Nikon D40x or Canon Digital Rebel XTi. I know this conversation has come up a lot, but I still want some opinions! Lol. As always, thank ya! =)

Well, at last you made a decision :P
Yay snazzy camera *does a snazzy camera dance*

I can vouch for Nikon D40x, as for the other two, I dunno...

Well I am working with a Rebel XTi so that's my vote!!! I'm a Canon girl though so that influenced my decision. I don't think you can go wrong with a Nikon or a Canon.

When I finally do get a D-SLR it will be a cannon rebel. Those cameras are awesome, a lot of friends who work the school newspaper or take photo classes have them, and they are easy to use and take great pictures.

I love my D40, enough said. :) It's light, small, easy to use and it takes amazing photos. Not to mention it costs less than the D40x and XTi yet has very comparable quality.

You're so lucky your Mom will buy all that stuff for you, I have to sell things to buy stuff like that.

I've been camera shopping for awhile, too. Kind of a big decision for me, so I have been doing some internet comparisons. When I can talk myself into spending that kind of money, I have decided to get the Canon Xsi. I know it was not on your list, but it is one you might want to consider. I saw a comparison between it and 4 other cameras with similar quality and features. The Canon Xsi and the Nikon D60 (not on your list, either) got the two top scores. The point system that was used gave the Canon 23 points overall and the Nikon 17 points. In the image quality score, which is most important to me, the Canon got 10 points and the Nikon got 8 points. In the 6 features that they used for the comparisons, the Canon got the top score in Image Quality, System Flexibility, Image Stabilization, and fasted Auto Focus. The Sony A350 got the highest score in the other 2 features, Ease of Use and Control, but got the lowest score in Image Quality. I haven't checked to see what the price difference is between the Canon Xti and the Canon Xsi are, but just kind of throwing this out there for you to consider.
