Yesterday I went to target to buy a few items and due to my surprised watch an awful incident unfold right in front of my eyes in the parking lot of TARGET!

Now heres the story:

As I walked out of the Target story and looked both ways to cross the road (no cars) I walked & out of no where came some "dude" in a electric/powered car out of nowhere stopping me in my tracks and rushing into a parking space where a older lady was attempting to get out of her car. *I sighed & shook my head in disgust at this man and walked on*. He passed me dragging his kid by arm toward the store. I turned to look again to cross over to my truck which was by his and saw him swing his kid around to the front of his body & cover his eyes. I stopped wondering what I missed. Out of the story came a Mother & 4 children where they were carrying halloween masks & garb. One kid in particular had his mask on. Was it scary? Maybe but shouldn't of been scary for the age that this "mans" kid was. I thought to myself now what is the problem. Before I could turn to walk away this man yelled at the top of his lungs to the "mother" WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU LET YOUR AWFUL CHILD WHERE THAT HIDEOUS THING OUT IN PUBLIC. Mother: Looking stunned said Excuse me? Man: I do not appreicate the "you" peoples way of life & I do not wish to have my son introduce to such non religious activities. I believe that your children should be more disaplined int he fact that they shouldn't be wearing these these... things out here in public. Mother: After picking her jaw up off the ground said: Mr last time I checked I was in America & my kids can do which they pleased when they pleased as long as it is harming no others in their acts. Sir they are just kids & I think you are being out of line. What do you expect to do with your child when you walk into that Target store? There rows filled with holloween stuff. You can't avoid it Mr get over it or go back to your rock until its over!

LOL. She grabbed her kids & walked on. I thought 4 sure this lady was gonna knock him out. Where I'm from... there are some tough chicks (MOMS) around here. She held her cool well.

Just thought it was funny.

I realize people have different views on life. But the lady was right, what does the man expect when he goes into the store?? No Holloween stuff... Lord help him in a few months with Christmas!

Oh - I feel sorry for the guy. He's got a lot of years ahead of covering that kid's eyes. What kind of mask? Like a bloody gory one or a ghoul of some kind or ????

Oh wow! Talk about over protective! That poor kid isn't going to know how to live when he's on his own.

OMG! That man's insane! If you don't wanna see stuff like that then DON'T go to a store like Target, or at least don't take your kids there! And if you do, then have the common decency to not accost people coming out of the store. He could have quietly explained to HIS OWN CHILD why they don't believe in stuff like that rather than make a scene. He also was not a good example to others of how a Christian person behaves. :nono:

What an idiot. About how old was the kid?? My best friend's mom won't even let her kids go to school on Halloween. Not even when we were past the point of wearing costumes to school. I doubt she would do anything like that though. This guy needs a reality check. What is the kid going to do when he gets older, leaves his father, and goes out into the real world??

Funny, Horseless!

Seriously, though- I don't understand this man's overreacting. Whatever his religion- fine- but that doesn't mean everyone else in the U.S. of A. is going to quick hide their holiday items just because he's walking on the street, let alone into a store!

Wow, a bit of an over reaction, wouldnt you say. Glad the mom stood up for her beliefs.
I dont celbrate it, but that dosnt mean I dont pass out candy and tell the kids how cute/scarey they look in their outfits.

Wow... didn't expect all those replies! LOL.

Kid was about 3 or 4 maybe?!?!

Yeah I thought so too, the guy was totally out of line. I agree he has a right to practice his own beliefs but GEEZZZZ come on. Your right he should of pulled his kid aside & explain the differences in peoples religion & such maybe why they don't do it. The kid is eventually going to start asking questions. Wonder what he does when he drives down the street? Can he drive & cover his kids eyes?? The lady was totally taken aback... I would be too, that would be the last thing I would of expected coming out of Target! LOL.

The mask wasn't all bloody & ghoulish... It was the typical ugly hairy mask. Not too scary IMO. It looked more like a beaten old man! LOL.
