Mrs. RocknK & KatieK blew into town Thursday. My daughter is competing there in karate. Just heard from them, she got a first & a second. I guess I better be a little nicer to the ninga daughter!;)

That's great! We are about 2 1/2 hours from Minneapolis. It's snowing here (in WI) right now!

AWESOME! What style is it? How long has she been in it?

She started out with kajukembo (barroom fighting) & now she's doing traditional Okinawan forms? She's been to National tournaments In Los Angelos, DisneyWorld, Washington DC & now Minneapolis. Done well at all of them. But I tell her its a lot like being a cowboy, the hard part is making a living at it!:cowboy:

I used to do that! My dad figured that out after I kicked (it was really only a tap, I promise! :innocent:) him in the ribs and cracked one. He took me more serious and didn't tease me after that! Tell her congrats and great job!!!

Sounds like she's doing great!

I'm four hours north, so I very rarely get down that way.
