Husband and I trail Ride

Today was my husband and I trail ride. We loaded up the horses and drove down the road about 10 miles from the stable and did a appx. 10 mile trail ride.
It was a perfect day in the 80's, [/URL] beautiful clear blue skies and light breezes. What a perfect day.

Those "Cowboy Challenge" coarses I have seen on RFD T.V. with Chris Cox would be a walk in the park for you and Chip!!!

It craks me up that men are always on the phone when riding ... I'll get a call from a good friend of mine, Beau, that is a horse and dog trainer and we'll have a lengthy call just shooting the breeze and cathing up while he is riding just putting time on the green horses at the ranch lol it is so funny to me.

Chris Cox is coming to Vegas soon. I would love to ride with Chris Cox on a few trails here. This is the easy trail (had hubby LOL)

I think our most challenging ride was either the Logandale ride with the desert girls and the Sloan Canyon ride with ex-desert gal appylover LOL.

My husband has that phone on him 24-7 and there are times it rings 24-7. It has calmed down some since I threw the beeper in the pool!!! (phones are too expensive, at least I though. That dang beeper cost 300.00:eek:)

That would be great to ride with Chris ohhhhh you have to try!!!! A beeper that cost $300 ... oooopppsssss!!! Well, throwing it in the pool was costly but it stopped some of the 24/7 calls which helps keep your sanity!!!

I already had someone suggest me to take them out on the trail but the Chris Cox and crew is here for a training demo. They was looking for certain types of horses.

As for that beeper, that was about 10 years ago!! Go figure, but I learned my lesson or did they LOL!!!

We could use some of that rain here. As for the summer, we're glad that it's OVER LOL:hysterical: finally temps under 100*

I really do enjoy having some time with the hubby. We have different days off so it's hard to really get to do things as a family. So when we have these special days, we take full advantage of it.

Gaited....looks like you guys had a blast. I cannot wait for my husband & I to go ride. He isn't as "horse crazy" as I am..........but next week, we're trading in my Buffalo Saddle that I've had for sale for him a 17-18" saddle that will fit him. My Buffalo is a 15". I'm excited. We've had horses for over 3 years now and he's only rode maybe, 3 times w/ me. :( Just isn't his thing...... He likes Ford Mustangs...a different kind of horse power ;)

I'm ready for some of that cold and snow others are talking about. Went hunting today and it was way too warm. All the deer and elk hid out in the dark timber. Horses worked up a sweat with out really having to work. Even at 9000 foot, it was too warm. Here are a few bulls I saw at early light.

LOL L4C. It took me 13 years to get my husband on a horse LOL! I understand about them not being as horse crazy. My husband tells me that there can't be anyone as horse crazy as me out there. I laugh and tell him that he needs to visit our horse forum LOL!!!1:hysterical::hysterical:

:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:LOL you guys are too funny!!! I haven't lost a rider yet (or horse) came close earlier this year but I learned not to take green riders or unconditioned horses through that pass:nono:

And thank you miata, my hubby is pretty fond of his girl Dixie. There were a couple of times that she would not think about the areas that Chip and I go through. She would stop, turn her head to my husband as to say,,,,"your kidding, right???" Oh, NO NO NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!:p But once Chip is out of site she finds her way to move forward though the obstacles. LOL!

We ride in the desert a lot in the winter months. It has it's own kind of beauty, at least once the heat is gone.
