I've had a serious problem with wanting another critter. (Like I need another one ) But I have my heart set on a Siamese Cat or a Himalyain (sp), my question for you is what is your experiences with Siamese Cat? My hunnie said he heard they are mean~ (never had one) so whats the deal?? I have had experience with Himalyins, so I'm good on that!!

My neighbor has two. Not mean at all.... in fact very personable and demanding of attention. Very noisy! They talk and tell you what they think, all the time! :) Can be good or bad!

One of them retrieves. He really does! If she throws a ball he brings it back and begs her to throw it again.

I don't really know about Siamese but my friend has Himmies and they are beautiful and are like dogs, so sweet and funny. I just got a Maine Coon Mix kitten and she is a rip. I looked on PetFinders for a Himmie near us but there was no one to adopt close by.

I'm glad I have my little rip though. She needs to stop scratching the furniture, that's making me nuts. The rescue lady said to put double stick tape on it so I need to try it. She has a scratching matt but likes the chair better.

Good luck finding your Siamese! They are pretty.

I grew up with a Siamese cat. They are very smart, and family oriented.

When my Kitter was a kitten. He started doing this. Vinigar & water in a spray bottle! Works wonders! Use it on the dogs too when they were being bad! :nono: As soon as the animals see me reach 4 it they scatter! Try it!! ;)

Thanks everyone! I thought Siamese were cute kitties, love the markings & such. I wanna adopt too, no need to spend a ton of money when there are plenty out there to adopt! :)

I had a Himmie too growing up & your right he was such a sweetie!!

Thank you, I will have to try it. She's so good except for that. The others scratch the rugs which is fine but I don't want her scratching the furniture especially when she has a place to scratch in her "bedroom"! I'll be getting the bottle out, the problem is catching her, I will hear her and by the time I get there she's taken off!

I know it. I'm the same way. Another way to deter it. ( I forgot to say) is get them scratching posts! I've provided at least 2 in various locations of the house & it helped to deter him.
