Had my 2nd lesson today 1st on Prize

Hello :) I just had to share.. I know again, but will promise not to after every lesson.:) Today I took Prize with me. Trainer wanted to get a feel for him and see if he had the temperament for me to take my English lessons on. Guess what :p I took my whole lesson on him. He did great even though I know a few times I sent him mixed signals. We worked on Whoa, backing, and the serpent (sp?) for flexing. I also got to trot him a little bit. I am so happy. I now know why he has come home to me again. He is the horse that is going to make me the rider I always dreamed of being. :) Once we got on the road to head home. DH was driving I just started crying. DH was like what is wrong the trainer said you did really good today and so did Prize. They were not sad tears but tears of joy. I was so happy I was going to burst. :) I can't wait to practice my assignment this week with Prize. My trainer wants us to work on Whoa and backing this week. I can't wait for my next lesson. I would go everyday if I could. The lessons are something I had always wanted to do for myself. :cowboy: Sorry I forgot the camera in the excitement. :doh:

Those tears sure do feel good Annasmom. They were my first of that kind of joy before. I still get teary eyed thinking about it today. :) My Mom is not a horse person she doesn't understand my tears. She thinks I am nutty. Oh well..

I know Dakota, I am still smacking myself for forgetting the dang camera :doh: :doh: DH said I had a big smile on my face the whole time. I didn't even realize I did LOL !!

We LOVE your updates, so we hope to hear about all of your lessons!! That's wonderful, isn't that a great feeling?! And I know what you mean about tears of joy, that's a pretty darn good feeling too. You must be so proud of Prize, and proud of yourself too, you're doing fabulous! I look forward to hearing about the up-coming lessons!! :)
