Haha, that's so funny. I don't think I would EVER do that with Conrad, he's so bad at turning. xD He'd pull an arm off.

That white perch and the friesan were awesome! That perch really opened up! I wasn't sure the friesan rider was going to get her stopped! Lol.

Well you wouldn't need shin guards if you rode a draft horse in barrels that's for sure. . .lol.

Very awsome video! Just loved the mules.. I think I remember hearring the one mule was 21 and the rider was 72? I hope I can do that at 72! The Friesian did it with grace!

Haha, last year my friends brought their draft horses to a gymkhanna. One was a Clydesdale and the other was a Belgian...they weren't very good at making those quick tight turns though, lol!

Is there a special prize if the drafts do their time in under 10 minutes?

I thought the entire video was awesome. That woman barrel racing at 21 year old mule when she was 72--there is hope yet.

Somehow, I have a hard time seeing Prince doing barrels...kinda hard to get the surrey to take the tight turns...Besides, he'd look down his nose at me and say, "What's the point?"

On the other hand, my pudgy little paint horse would be standing right there in the middle of the arena, saying, "Be the barrel....be the barrel..."

Fun to watch! The local draft club did a barrel racing class this summer at the fair, and it was a blast to watch!

I thought the same thing. :)

I liked the 76 y.o. woman on the 21 y.o. mule, too.

Looked a show that knows how to put the fun back in!

If you have Beth Valentine's Book, The Draft Horse Manual, you will see a picture of me barrel racing on a Belgian in there....29 seconds !!!!

Wait - that is YOU?? I have that book. It's my bible. That is so cool!

Solon loves barrels but he thinks he's supposed to knock them down when he goes around them. I'll have to get a video one of these days.

I want the 3rd mule, Molly, she looks very well broke.

The Fresian was unbelieveable. I can not imagine letting a horse that big, run out like that without my oh no horn to hang on to.

Yep, that'd be me :D My son took the picture. Dr. Valentine was helping us with the Belgian's suspected EPSM, and she asked for a picture of him, so I sent it in.

The glossy would be better than my tiny black and white!!

Speaking of autographs, I've always thought you should have some glossy's of a picture of you doing the Animal Cops stuff. Hint hint nudge nudge wink wink.
