i am not sure how many people have ever had a land lord like mine but if you have you never want to move. every year we move because of hubby's job. there is really no work for him, he is a heavy equipment operator/logger. 2 years ago he fulfilled his dream of joining the operators union. he was in it for one season until the economy started falling and houses where not selling. he was working as a finish blade operator for a really big company. at the end of the season they laid off 250 people, hubby was one of them. every house we move into we tell the owner that winters are hard for us because hubby goes on unemployment so our income gets cut almost in half. they all say thats fine mike, hubby, can do work for them or we cam work something out, every winter they forget about working things out and just want their money. we pull rent together for them but at the start of next season we move thankfully. well the economy has hit us again. the mills are not taking anymore logs and even though hubby was supposed to be working for 1 more month before shut down now he is off next week!! we let our land lord know and they tell us that is great, now they can have him work on things around here that need it, and they will pay him by taking it of rent!! and to get the rest of the money to them when ever we can! they are so great to us. and they love all our animals. its like living next door to our parents but ones that dont tell us want to do. when my blazer broke down and that was our only running truck they lent us their car to get to work and back and said anytime we need it its there to use. when we went to corning,ca to pick up my horse and our ford's tranny went they offered to come and pick us up. that is a 3 or more hour drive!! my hubby likes them so much he said he never wants to move. i think this is going to be the first winter sense we have been together that we are going to be able to get along without worrying over money. i love my land lords.

Very good. Good for you both! If they have a lot of things that need done it'll work out well for both of you.

Our landlord has been great too, mostly because we almost never talk to them. We rent seven acres here, the cost is cheap, and I can do pretty much whatever I want. I've remodeled the barn twice, putting in stalls and then taking them out and moving them around. I pay for all the fencing and projects myself, but they don't get in the way if I want to move things around, at least.
