A couple fo years ago, Chy had gotten a stuffed Palomino horse. She named it Ladybird and kept it in her room. Usually it was on her other bed in a pile of stuffed animals, but ever since Ladybird passed away Chy has kept that stuffed horse with her all the time at night.

I know she loves her Joe, but she always keeps Ladybird with her at night...

Awwww... again it reminds me of that poem...

Somewhere behind the rider you've become: the coaches who have pushed you, the tears you've cried, the ribbons you've won..and haven't won..the horses you've given your heart to, is that little girl who fell in love with that one horse.

Ride for him/her.

Ladybird is that horse and everytime Chy rides she rides for Ladybird. She rides because of Ladybird. She rides with Ladybird. In her heart and in her memories. Safe for all time in the heart of her girl.

Aww that is so sweet. I wish I had a little stuffed Cornbred to keep me company.

And I have to say I love the big/little dog thing. Big one on the floor and a mini me to sleep with!!! Too Cute!

If is my firm belief that EVERY horse should be loved by a little girl at some point in it's life. :)

Oh...and I'm a not-so-little girl and I have a stuffed Bogey.

LOL... sorry Natisha, at least it wasn't a video. ;) Guess Chy and I have been thinking about Ladybird a lot lately. Chy will pop up out of the blue and tell me she misses Ladybird. I do too and I guess we are thinking about it more as the 1 yr anniversary draws closer since she passed.

Her room took forever to do. Chy and I painted the wall and I made her the blanket on her bed. She uses that instead of the comforter that is supposed be with the bedding set. :D Plus I still have to get the rest of her ribbons up. The other walls are lined with her 3rd, 4th, and 5th place ribbons. ;)
