I'm a total sucker for animals in need, and somehow animals always seem to know that. When I went out to feed my horses this morning I found a tiny kitten shivering by the fence. I figure she's about 4 weeks old, and I have no idea where she came from. I hardly ever see cats around here (aside from the 7 who live in my house...). I looked around but didn't find any other kittens. I've made her a little nest in my bathroom and she tucked right into the canned food/warm water/KMR slop I made her. I didn't want to give her too much at a time so I'll give her a little more in a while.

She (I call her a she, but I haven't checked to see if she actually is) isn't in the best shape. She was very cold when I found her but has snuggled up to the hot water bottles I put down. She's pretty subdued, but not lethargic. And she is quite skinny. I will most likely take her to the SPCA tomorrow. I don't really want to, but I can't have 8 house cats and I know the SPCA is a good place where she'll be well taken care of.

She is all white with a little grey on her head. I'll try to get some pictures later on.

Ooohhh she sounds sweet, good thing you found her, it is too cold for a little thing like her to be out there, I bet she was happy to see you. Not a bad idea to take her to the SPCA, they will find her a loving home and care for her. For now she sounds warm and happy and cozy!

Okay, the pics aren't the greatest because I took them with my computer but here is the little sweetheart. And she is a sweetie! Definitely not feral. And opinionated too- she complains quite loudly when I try and remove her from my lap.

She's cute. Looks older than 4 weeks. She should find a good home.

Yes, I think she is older, natisha. When I first found her she seemed much smaller and more helpless, but now that she's warm and fed she's perked up a lot and seems to have grown, lol.

Awwww...God Bless you for helping that little kitty out. I found a little kittie (Actually 3 of them) about the same age shivering and hungry out in a corn field on a back road. Someone had dropped them. Now, 5 years later, Indy, (one of the kittens I found) is like a little lap dog and cat in one. I just adore her and she loves me to death.
8 of them in your house? Wow, Indy keeps me busy, biting my paint brush while I paint and I have to watch for an incoming cat to jump over the back of my chair so she can sit in my lap when I'm working. I can't imagine 8. lol

One more can't take up too much room.
I have a sister with all white cats. No one knows how many, could be 3, could be 10, they all look the same so impossible to count them. She won't tell.
