Wow what can I say Trouble is doing EXCELLENT and I am so proud. Tonight I rode her on her first off property trail ride at the new barn. Me, and a few other boarders my age rode our horses to the high school next door to pick up one of the girls. It was already getting dark and Trouble did PERFECT! She walked around the huge black pavement under the lights, her only fault was hestiating a bit my the road which did get me a bit nervous since the drivers go speeding down the road. She has come SO far and REALLY trusts me now.
Also since my friend moved her horse at the barn as well as a past boarder I have been riding with a lot of other people, and Trouble who kicks when surprised and not too happy having horses pass her is doing so well. She has made a vast improvement and hardly ever puts her ears back, I still however warn everyone I ride with to keep their distance since she has pulled stuff in the past.
Lastly I rode her ENGLISH twice this week. Sadly it was too dark for pictures, but Sunday I'll have my sister tag along to take some. She is just as good of a western poneh as english, her trot is perfect for posting and her canter is so smooth. She has transitioned to the more contact on the bit perfectly and most people would think she has been ridden english all her life. Did I mention that we JUMPED! She is quite the little jumper, we jumped two feet at the trot and she did wonderful, and has surprisingly pretty good form for having a rider who hasn't jumped a day in her life.
Sorry for the long thread I just had to brag. Pictures are coming soon I promised so I don't need any :worthless:
