My son wanted so badly to help me pick stalls this afternoon. Sterling wanted to help too. She stood with her head in my wheel barrel until I let her in the stall. . .
Well Wyatt stood there for just a few seconds before he decided it was too muddy and he wanted back out. I wasn't done and didn't want to have to worry about him while I was around the corner from the play area so I just threw him up on Sterling. She didn't mind. He even got her to walk around the stall a few times with his legs. (Then she promptly ignored him) lol. I see a nice future for these two!!

Opps, that was big, I'll make the next one smaller!

My old girl was right at home and quite content to be a baby sitting lawn chair. I think it's time to find Wyatt a saddle for real. . . I think 4 years and 21 years just go together!

That is just too awesome. And what could make a better Christmas present than an itty bitty little Western saddle and a pair of matching cowboy boots?

Lol, the boots we have, and it's the saddle we're searching for. . .unfortunately I have a budget and saddles (that are worth anything) are not cheap! lol. It may be January or February before we get him one, but that's before the big playdays start. . .

Too bad you're waaayyy down in Texas; there's a tack consignment store up here that has some of the darned cutest kids saddles for $150 and less. I haven't got any kids, but it is sure hard to pass up those little saddles ;). What gets me is that one has a 10" seat on a full quarter horse bar!

Lol, yeah those look like it'd be painful for the kids little legs!! I'm pretty sure we are going to get him a 14 inch. He's almost 45 inches tall already and he's growing like a weed!!! I think he'd do okay in one. When Sonora comes home we're going to save up and go to our local tack store (Teskeys or NRS) and try out some saddles for him!

Those pics are cute!!!
EW just get him a CHEAP saddle for right now. Heck he is going to grow out of it in a couple of years anyways. My friend picked up a nice new western saddle off e-bay for $125. It is the cutest thing and works for her 4 yr old son. Now WE wouldn't ride in it, but the kids are little and usually only walking or slow trotting at this age anyways. Chy also started in a cheap saddle. It worked till she started getting faster, then I had to break down and buy her a good one.

Love those pictures. I vote for getting the cheap saddle now so we can see more pix of them riding the trails!

Awe, adorable pictures!:D And here's another vote for a cheap kid's saddle!:) My neighbor has a really cute 10" black saddle for her grandkids and I think she only paid like $100 for it or something close to that. Her 5 year old granddaughter fits it well, and her six year old grandson is just starting to outgrow it a little bit. A 12" might be the way to go for Wyatt.:)
My nieghbor just bought another used kid's saddle too, a 12" seat I believe, or maybe 13". She got it for $50.00 bucks and it's actually not a cheap saddle, it's pretty good quality.

That is so cute! Not sure mine would stand so quietly while lane sat on them though, they might want to have fun.
