Hey everyone!!!
So I thought I'd write a quick thread before bed, just to wish all you Americans a happy Thanksgiving from Canada, and I hope you have/had an amazing time with your loved ones!♥
And of corse to give a small update =D
Last night (Wednesday) I had my weekly lesson at CHF. I rode Joshy for the first time since the Jessica Pheonix clinic, and wow, I can tell I've improved in this short month. Previously I was able to consistently have him on the bit on a circle, but not as well while going large around the arena. As soon as I hoped on I was able to get him to frame constantly at both directs, and both on and off the circle, as well as in canter =D
When trotting, we did an exercise getting me to learn to turn with my outside rein and inside leg, and not touch my inside rein (which I apparently depend on a lot ;D) and then we worked on pushing there haunches out on the circle and then pushing there nose end out and staying on the circle.
I had the most difficulty when attempting to canter a "square" which was a problem once again because I kept trying to go to my inside rein, SO DIFFICULT! ;D
And then for the last 10 minutes of the lesson we popped over an X. We worked on asking for certain distances (short, long, perfect) as well as sitting them. We did this in both directions, and was quite interesting!
Anyway sorry for the longish post? I don't normally like to write so much from just one lesson ;D No pics this week, my dad wanted to read a book, but hopefully Ill get some video + pics next wednesday!!!
Also, apparently I promised to post a video from the Jess Pheonix clinic... which I know realized I never did D: However I'm working on a mix video from Sept- Now of CHF, and I have posted what I have so far on my youtube account.
