We can ride Hawk, Tram and Elle. Hawk "donates" his time to as local special needs therapy ranch, and he participates in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Last year, Hawk and his rider won "King of the Rodeo" in the special needs competition. You can see his pics here: http://www.morninggloryranch.org/

Hawk has a really nice head, doesn't he? Is that you all cleaned up there in the driver's seat?

One more question, what is soaping? Is it related to the curls they do on show cows? All stylin' for the show ring?

Yes, that would be me :)

It's a Scottish tradition, where they apply glycerin soap and curl the hair backwards....looks neat when done correctly.

Well, you clean up pretty good, Steve, and your horses are first rate. You've done a fine job with your breeding program, that's obvious. I've always figured the Budweiser Clydes must be quality, and I've seen them in person. Your horses look better to me then those big guys.

The soaping is the same thing they do with cows then. Same Scottish origins, I think, Black Angus and Hereford. Curly hair must of been the it thing way back when. Fun stuff.

Thank you very much. I have high hopes in the coming years with the youngsters we are bringing up.

Whenever we go to a show, be it local, or a big time state fair, we ALWAYS have tons of people looking and touching our horses....folks just seem to like them allot :)

Wow, so cool! I never knew they did the soaping on horses... I always heard they did it to cows to make them look bigger... guess that would apply here too!
You should clean up more often.. you look very nice!

Awww... I love those horses of yours. I hope to someday have one (a draft) in my pasture. I always see one or two in the kill pens at the auction. Lots seem like broodmares who's time is up. It's my dream to rescue one and keep it just for looking at. :D That would be well worth it.
