:innocent: No riding for 12 weeks for me. Well, I *cough* forgot *cough* about that and rode sugarsgirl's horse Chrissy, 9 days after my accident and then I rode Tanner last night. He was sooo good and I just had to share :D. He's been doing really well lately even though it's been mostly groundwork. I swear I forgot what it was like to ride him after 2 1/2 weeks of H3ll!!! LOL  He picked up his leads 100% of the time :).

Today I went back to the hospital and got my cast cut off and got some more xrays of my arm & hip. The doc said they are both healing well. I didn't let him put another cast on so he told me to wear a splint for the next month at all times except when I shower. Ermmm.... okay :innocent: .

I'm feeling a lot better but I'm still pretty bummed about this weekend. We have an amazing trainer & "shower" coming to do a 2 day clinic for our barn and I signed up for it. It's expensive but it's something I really wanted to take Tanner in. I know he could handle it no problem but I don't think I can being like this :( So I guess I'm just going to have to pay to watch... which really sucks.

So I guess I just posted this to say hi to everyone and let you know what's going on. Sorry I havn't been on lately, I've been SOOO busy with school. I promise to PM you all back and post to your profiles soo! :)

* Please don't tell me not to ride my horse. I know I shouldn't be but I will be careful. :)

Haha, who can stay off their horses when they're injured? :D I'm glad Tanner is doing good for you, but it really sucks you can't be in the clinic. I hope you have fun either way.. even if it's just watching.

:nono:

But then when I was your age, my mom tailored my saddle seat coat to fit over a cast because I didn't want to cancel a show. :)

I'm glad that you're progressing! But be CAREFUL--you could set yourself back weeks or months if you're not careful. You aren't 100% right now--you couldn't be, so just take care of yourself, o.k.?:)

Still--happy for ya!:D

Nine days sounds hard enough, 12 weeks is insane. I hope I never have to keep from riding, I'd go insane after a while. Its so much fun and such a stress reliever after all the stress at school and work and home.

When I had my accident I was told not to ride for 3 to 4 months to let my hip heal properly. Of course I was riding at a walk 2 months later. Just be carefull not to overdo it and take it slow.

Haha, 9 days! Well done!:p I'd never be able to go 12 weeks without riding either, no way!

I'm glad Tanner was so good for you! Stay safe! xD

I think you did pretty good to stay off a horse for nine days. I'm not sure I could have done that.

Thank you!
Yep, I did!!!! LOL !
It was great!! Learned SOOO many new things and Tanner was amazing! We worked on several things and he said that my horse had the most improvement over the 2 days. I was happy to hear that, Tanner really tried for me. He was also the only horse that did a complete flying change over a ground pole. I was sooooo happy, it felt amazing. He didn't blow a lead once either. I'm so happy with him! LOL I could write forever about what we did. :D
